I'm getting stoked! Got a quiver of Peak3s heading my way that will likely see their maiden flights at IBX. We've had way over 10 ft of snow in our
Mountains in the past three weeks so it's looking as if I'm going to be skiing for a while.
Morrie (or somebody) - can you please confirm which night will be the event with food, raffle, fun, and games? I plan to come for three nights this
year (only two last year) and want to make sure that night is one of them. Thanks!

Bob - just out of curiosity, is the discount code only good at Whiskey Pete's or also at the Primm Valley Resort? I stayed at Primm Valley Resort
last time and liked their Pancake House for breakfast. Excellent BIG omelets really lay in a firm foundation for the day on the Playa.

Cool beans. I meant to write Buffalo Bills. Assuming it's still there, the restaurant I'm referring to in Primm Valley Resort is The Original House of
Pancakes, not to be confused with IHOP. They bake their omelettes in an oven so they come out large, fluffy and super yummy. They also have some sort
of apple cake that comes out practically like a wonderful hybrid between an apple pie and a giant thick pancake.

On a flight as I write this SLC-SAN and we just passed directly over Lake Ivanpah! Yes, I got "gitty".
My seat mate had driven by it a couple of weeks ago and said it was covered in water from some big rains. Looked all dried out now.

Almost all the standing water is gone. It's still damp and soft but should be back to rideable within 3-4 days.

Bob - after a flood / dry cycle like this does the Playa end up rougher, smoother, or something different. Not asking for a dissertation but I suspect
there are multiple factors in play (wind, temps, etc) that make the mud dry better or worse for our purposes.

The short answer is that it's different every time. I'm sure there is a formula of how fast it dries and how much wind hits it while it's soft as well
as sunshine, but I don't know any of the cause and effect to guess the outcome.
