2nd Annual Kite Widow Luncheon: FRI 11:30am
I say we do the same as last year, gang. Pot lock style at one of the pavilions on Thursday.
I'll bring Dogs, charcoal, buns and all the accouterments.
Those are just my suggestions, completely open.
Thoughts?
I'm going to take a nap now

I am really looking forward to the luncheon - my only thought is the wind and tide line up better and better as the week goes on so maybe earlier in
the week would be better- Tuesday?

so would the options be early in the week but late in the day (after we are done on the beach) or later in the week but earlier in the day (before we
get on the beach)?
are most people going to be there for the full week?

I'm cool with whatever the consensus is, but with the little kiddos (for me), later in the day is tougher... The crazies and crankies start to come
out after 5:00, but its doable. What do the tides look like for Tuesday?... I am tempted to say that Later in the week/ earlier in the day will wrk
better for me personally, but that's just me. ... not to mention we'd likely have an easier time scoring one of the pavilions earlier in the day.
I just wanted to get the wheels turning on it so we have a plan. I remember how much we have enjoyed all hanging out and eating together in the past
few years.
As much as I'd love to see MarS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s house... I don't think thats on the docket for me

Well the tides go later each day. Get a full belly like noon, then kite hard all that afternoon. Low tide is at 2:07pm Thursday on Angus's website. So
if we eat 11-12ish we should still have 2 good hours before low tide, then 3 good hours of beach after low tide. I'm down for whatever, but Spencer's
original thoughts do sound reasonable. Any earlier than that and Spencer will be cooking bacon and eggs. . I also think Angus said he has to work the first half of the week.
We will bring a big pan of homemade Mac n cheese and a few two liters of drink again. Say diet coke and Sprite.
I'm just ready to fly and hang with the kite peeps. Make more memories.

Does it make sense to do lunch on Friday in this case?... Low tide would be 3:00, so if we do 11:30 lunch that gives us ample time to eat before we
head to the beach for the "2-hours-before-low-tide" rule of thumb
Lets make the call, please!!!

I was just a taker but will not remain so in the future...thanks to all the givers! Really great to get together with everyone and finally get a
handle on who's who! My analysis of the group; most are crazier than me, most are way more fun than me and all are genuinely nice folks to be around.
And it seems a few know a little something about kites
