My usual spots were occupied today. Being undeterred I found a construction site that looked suitable. It's a temporary site, probably only this
weekend. There is going to be a retail center built there and they just have the ground graded at this point. I realize it's private property, but I
knew I wouldn't be doing any damage to it. Anyways, I've always thought those would be great spots even if temporary and I was right. Really cool.
Probably the closest thing to low tide that I'm going to get.
Also, bonus longboard clip on the last minute.
Also, it was a great test for my new hotwire set up which worked awesome. changed the tow point and it seems to be where it should be now.
Looks like ya had some fun. I think you should change your video POV to
a first person perspective instead of 3rd person. Or adjust it where we can see more of the action and less of the stick. Too bad it's temporary,you
could really get goin if it was dry and hard.
That was the first time for that camera mount. Held fine at the axle but the actual camera mount kept slipping and pointing down.
That site may be temporary but they are always building around here, so I hope to have more opportunities. It's a pretty narrow window between
grading and building and having wind during that window of opportunity.
Out of curiosity, does the front wheel to your buggy have a mud flap? If not I bet you may still be spitting mud. Oh, the prices we pay to get in some buggy action!
No mud flap but I only caught a piece or two to the face. Not near as much as I thought I might.
Wind was all over the place. frequent sub 10 lulls with some sustained gusts to high teens with a couple in frequent low 20 gust here and there.
It's always a complicated answer when someone asks what my winds were.
You can say that again Sean about the winds! I suspect the beach riders just chuckle at our inland woes. My winds in the mountains are all over the
place! Not only as you just described but directionally as well. On some days it's not unusual to get well over a 90deg shift in direction every few
minutes. When on my fields I sometimes find my self going end to end one run only to pretty much go side to side the next. Hey, could be worse, it
could not be blowing at all!
When building work continues Monday, the workmen will be scratching their heads trying to figure out who or what made those tracks over the
weekend,....Yeah Bill, not two tracks or four but three of 'em??...and look here, footprints leading up to this point then they disappear and reappear

Nice one Sean!... I like the new camera mount!.... If you get lots of different points of view (helmet cam, new mount, one on the downtime, and even a
tripod pointed toward you) and edit them all together, it always makes for a great film!
@phree, Yeah, I'm pretty excited to get much better footage using that mount on the longboard. wind was at a bad angle that day for the site so I was
just playing around. I'm looking forward to using that mount on a day when I get serious.
@soliver, my helmet cam footage wasn't the greatest because I was looking at the kite mostly. didn't have a tripod with me and I didn't take my
helmet off to use it as a tripod like a normally do because I was a little worried it might be needed for it's intended purpose of protecting my head.
Luckily it wasn't needed for that but it would have been awesome to have a tripod because I finished the day doing short tacks and tons of slides.
I'm still buzzing from being able to use a surface like that. Must be why the focus of my video was the ground
