2015 Flysurfer PEAK 2 has been released.

Hardwater Kiting will have it in a few weeks for retail as well as demo.
A number of changes over the Peak 1 including a new Infinity bar system with a trim, different AR, less flutter in depower and faster turn rate.
New sizes added, 4m and 12m. Pricing is on par with the Peak one with a small increase over 2014 but still unbeatable in terms of bang for the buck.
Pretty psyched on this new kite. Seems to be geared toward a compromise between an alpine touring wing and freeride.
Can't wait!

My jaw fell open when I saw people jumping on these. This is everything I want in my next kite. I'd been hoping for a new Peak so I could grab one of
the old ones at a discount, but I think I'm going to have to just save up and get a Peak 2. This is just too good to say no to.

I'm sure it's going to be a heck of a kite. We were really impressed with the PEAK 1. I can't wait to get people out on the PEAK 2.

I would LOVE to hook up to a 12 meter! So if the 9m has the power of a 11/12m, then a 12m would have the power of a 14+m? Can't wait for a real
world test review to come out.

Looks like a lot more lift. Glad to see FS is taking the kite in that direction.
Be interested to see if they've added any reinforcement around the stiffeners and if they've addressed the barbite with a more rounded bar hole.

That's a very good question Cheddar. The PA for the PK2 are smaller than the original Peak. However they upped the AR so that may offset it.
Difficult to say at this point until we get some time on them but if the power per size is similar to the Peak 1 then I would say you're close in the
amount of pull the 12m manages.
B-Roc, I suspect the bar bite issue some people had experienced will be eliminated with the new Infinity type bar. Not sure if it has the same twin
line leader set up as the regular Infinity or it (as it appears) to be something different and more simple.

Hey Cheddarhead, Come over to MI and try one when we get snow again! I'll have 4,6,9m Peak 2's in short order
Last winter I was flying my 9m when I normally would have had to fly my 15m Core XRLW which is a great light wind kite. So the 12m will probably feel
quite a bit stronger than a 14m LEI. I weigh 160# and ride skis. There were a few times when a 12m Peak would have been cool to have, but the 9m got
me going in some pretty light (almost unimaginabley light) wind...and with line extensions that could be boosted a bit yet.
If you are a heavier rider the 12m might still be the ticket in uber light conditions. I compeletely believe the 12m Peak2 will fly in lighter wind
than any comparably sized LEI, or twin skin foil (excepting perhaps the Chrono or Elf), but I wonder if the additional weight and drag will alter the
efficiency curve...we shall see. The simplicity and stability and price advantages of the Peak2 over one of those other light wind race kites is still
a huge consideration though.
