Laurel Hill Park, NJ
A couple of you all fly here...what is the space like on a Saturday afternoon mid summer? Enough room to take out a board and tool around? Looks like
a bit of a grease possible for Saturday this week.

Never been to Laurell park, looking forward to it. Also there's a nice park in Sewaren nj called sewaren park that's also big and cool to kite into.
I'll most like be available for Saturday afternoon.

Ok...making notes...these look great on the map so if crowds aren't normally using the space, Saturday could be good for me late afternoon. Stay tuned
and check the forecast....

Laurel Hill ..... 2 years ago rangers ask me to not kite there ...... never tried again .....
Sewaren ..... There is info board by entrance ( I think ).... says no wind powered vehicles ( buggy )... not sure about static kite flying ... I
was there also 2 years ago ....
... If you decide to go and try any of those locations .... let me know ... maybe I stop by to say hi .....
I stop going to parks because I learned how big difference you get with clean wind on a beach away from all trees and buildings .... When for few
first months my kite skill progression was not going anywhere with gusty inland winds few days with clean wind speed up process faster then I expected
..... Now I am always traveling to get clean wind session .... I give up summer land kiting because busy beaches .... but colder months are worth
traveling ....

Oh, if it'll fill up with snow it should be deserted and awesome for kiting. Just to see these wide open spaces near where my daughter lives. Another
reason to visit!

I am not trying to scare you .... but people and law in NJ are crazy .... My friend got arrested when playing with his son in park using plastic
gun toys .... Media make huge think out of this and he was in court for months ,,,,
Here is another example :

.... so .... just stay away from people whenever is possible and never argue with park rangers or police ......

***THREAD REBOOT***
I've got a great long weekend coming up and a place to stay in Hoboken! Any upper NJ kiters want to get together and see what we can fly and ride? Is
Laurel Hill park a viable option, with or without snow? Other locations? Available Saturday thru
Tuesday🏂🍻🍔🍟
