SOBB Reflections from an East Coast Guy

As I sit here at the airport in Seattle waiting for my flight I figured now would be a good time to let e everyone know how much fun I had on my trip to SOBB. Besides meeting some new folks and finally meeting those I had spoken to on the phone many times, the bugging was fun to say the least. You guys definitely have some skilled riders on the west coast. Most of you have been doing this for a long time and it shows.

Buggy camp was good as well. Thanks to Eli for the great cooking I never left hungry for sure. The campfires and kite stories were good as well.

While it is a bit different from the East Coast, in lots of ways it's the same. Just a good group of guys looking to have some good rides on the wind.

Thanks again for all those who helped make this trip a reality! I definitely enjoyed myself. Can't wait for some of you to come to the east so I can show you how we do it East Coast style!

I hope that I can return one day and share the beaches of Oregon with you again. Till then RIde On my friends!

Glad to see you were able to make it. Glad to see you go.:P Just kidding, Rich is one of the guys that can take it and dish it out.
Im sure that he will receive a warm welcome when he gets home. Wish the weather was a bit nicer, but the rain, thunder, lightning, and very loud booms were a nice end to the week. Add a bit of color and it would have been a grand firework show.
I was happy to see he fit right in with the rest of us, defiantly a event that we will talk about for some time.

Go easy on us Rich when you tell those back home the real truth of how the west was buggyied. Remember, there's no place like SOBB.

Yes Ken, Jeff, Morrie and I ran down to the lake house to chat with Jon for about an hour or so. Shared some info, talked a bunch about NAPKA, and had a few good laughs. It was a pleasure to meet him. I have talked to so many people over the phone. It's not as good as shaking hands! That goes for all those on the west coast that I finally got to meet!

Thanks to Sean and Morrie for hauling me and the bug around when Jeff had to run back home as well. I know Jeff was trying to get rid of me, but I didn't think he was that serious about it:lol:

I gave both my sons the same graduation gift when they finished high school. A suit case. Rich had his when he showed up which made it easy when it was time to go home. But he knows he is welcomed any time.:wink2:
Besides when Rich starts talking to Levi, Daisy and Katie like the are people, I figured it was time for his family to intervene. They told me to send him home.

I really did enjoy having Rich visit for the week. Great guy even if he only flys twinskins, which we are workingon.

Boy Jeff, my wife got a good chuckle out of that one.

Now she's saying you can have me out any time. Keeps me out of her hair. Go away for a week and loose my spot in bed to the kids and the dog.

Morrie, it was great to finally shake your hand and meet you face to face. We have had many conversations, worked on many things together, and now got meet. Thanks for being there with me and for me with all the NAPKA stuff.

Jeff, the shirts worked out well, got the right things for the right ones they say thanks. It was nice hanging with you and Renee. Many laughs shared. I guess I should have brought my breathe right strips lol.

I really enjoyed myself and would return when the time is right. For now I have to get back to a normal routine and get to work. Lots to do in the next month to prepare for WBB.
