My problem getting up on a board

So I can fly the kite very well and can get the board on my feet but I have alot of problems getting up on the board. every time I try by legs get bent up under me and I an unable to straighten them to get an edge. please somebody help.

I would actually like to try kiteboarding again. I am not in the best location for it but as always, I will work with what I have.

The type of board that interests me most are kite surfboards. I would mostlikely be using it on flat water but that is ok with me.

When you're squared up with the wind, then point the board initially downwind some so it's easier for the board to move with less load on it. It's kinda hard to explain the process:

My major issue when starting kiteboarding was using too small kite ... You need way more power then on land .... specially when you learning to get on a board ...
... dipping kite more aggressively to power zone will help you started in lighter winds .... right after that send kite back up to support you weight and dip it again to get going ...
... in stronger winds you should be able to get on board and get going in one move of kite .... pointing board downwind helps a lot .... but make sure to edge right after you start moving .... not too hard so you dont kill forward speed of kite ...

ideally you want 15 - 20kt wind and a 12m kite if you are 160 - 180lb
You also want a board that is at least 40cm wide (twintip) and wave board will have plenty of float for learning waterstarts but will be harder to get on your feet.

key things to remember:
1. always send the kite back past 12 in the opposite direction to the way you want to go before you dive it. Its the speed PAST 12 that lifts your body out of the water.
2. dont pull with your arms. allow the kite to lift you up from your harness.
3. As you come up straighten your front leg and think about pointing the board at the kite. (its easier for your brain to cope with than thinking about pointing down wind)
3. dont dive it too deep. as soon as you are up. pull on your back hand and sheet out to get it to 12 and ready for another power stroke.

Like anything with a kite you just need lots of repitition to allow your brain to sort everything out and "normalise" it. It seems impossible the first day you try it but before long you won't even think about it.

You can help out at the start by using a bigger board than you need - A door type twin-tip or a surf board but I would not go bigger than 12m with the kite - it will be too slow for you as a beginner.

Stick with it. Kitesurfing is the best feeling ever.

As a side-effect, sending our kite back past 12 ALSO inherently points the nose of the board downwind just enough.

It is good idea to ask friend to film you ,,,, You can see a lot things you do wrong when watching ....

Below 2 videos .... 1s one was my 3rd session on kiteboard with many things going wrong .... after watching all that footage I improve a lot on next session ..... video 2 .....
..

What is done wrong ?
.... Pulling bar in and stalling kite when water starting ...
.... Getting up and start moving but keeping kite at edge of wind window .... stalling kite again
... too much weight on back foot
.. not pointing board downwind .....
.... using too small kite for those wind conditions....
... not keeping front leg straight ...
..... NOT taking a lesson ..... lol ....
