I was able to test drive the kite kayak last summer and stay upwind with a HQ-Hydra and reel strapped to the boat, required a keel and working the
rudder a bit.

In case anyone is interested - the Kite bar project has now been funded, but I think one can still pledge to get the rewards package (lower prices on
the kite bar and or/ Hydra kite package.) Of course, there is the risk it won't come to completion, though the developer has done 5 other projects.
