I am assuming most of the info from last year should apply. Are you planning to get a place to stay on the island?? I live in sugarland so it's
about an hour drive for me to get down there. I don't stay overnight so I drive back and forth each day. I usually come down for the pre-event (
weekend before thanksgiving) and every other day or so during the entire week. Your family will love thanksgiving day when we all get together and
enjoy the feast!!

Its a good time. I come down Friday/Saturday after Thanksgiving. Usually with a couple others from the Dallas area. Some camp on the beach, but
that time of year, the hotels are really reasonable. East Beach was where they were at mostly last 2 years. I prefer San Luis Pass which is 20
miles West and sometimes end up down that way.

Last I heard, the event was moved to Surfside beach. You can stay in Galveston or Surfside or camp. Susan or Brad might have a better idea what's
going on. Hope they chime in soon.
