Dakitez MG Croozer buggy video

I found this video tonight and I thought it was a goofy little clip. It is very bumpy so be ready for that. I wanted to test the MG buggy to make sure it could hold up to some nasty terrain and survive. It survived with no issues. My piloting skills need work as you will see though

The main thing I really want people to see in this video is how the surface plays a role. I only edited about 4 minutes of this video out, while I was not moving and about another minute of when I was sailing directly downwind to get around the sprinklers. So the wind conditions are consistent from the dirt to the grass, but notice the speed difference in the buggy!

Enjoy and don't laugh too hard at my driving skills.

when you 180 just redirect and keep going backwards ---> you got the idea down, keep going you wuss.

i think its time for a set of BF Tires, when you went over that wet patch and back onto the grass you drifted a bit. i thought i told you to switch off the slicks and move to ribbed (non sexual). LOL.

i could believe the 50mph downwind, but was your GPS on low battery too, and only getting one Sat Signal???

I have the same conditions at our sod farm. The only difference is the type of sprinklers that are used. I found the best surface is the grass that has not been watered for that day or has been left dryer for fertilizing.
Big foots will low air will help the ride over the speed bumps (strips of grass left from harvesting) and the occasional rolls of forgotten sod.
Our area is set up a bit different due to the circular sprinklers, so the wind is the key to which field we use, light wind-dirt or dry grass, high wind-wet grass or long grass that has not been mowed.
Midi tires will help a bit more in the wet grass to keep the bug moving a bit easyer.
Was the GPS saying 50mph or 50 feet per hour?

Nice vid Dino! Can't wait for our next R&D session. I have to get my buggy adjusted.

I ran bigfoots the first few times I was there and they were really slow in the thick grass. They would be nice on the hard stuff though. I took the bigfoots off and ran midis and they don't help the ride any but were squirmy like they were trying to get on top of the grass. Slicks don't hold your edge enough but in the grass, ribbed barrows are best there.

I just talked to the guy who owns the sod farm here and he said the type of grass that is grown makes a big difference in how the buggy, (tires) respond. I gave him a buggy and a few kites, he has been out bugging with out us - go figure.
Not sure what type of grass you guys grow, sounds like it might not be as good as ours, :lol:

I think I do have ribbed tires on during this session. It was awhile ago that this was shot so maybe not, but i think they are ribbed (for your pleasure).

Not sure about the battery or signal strength during that run. The reason I do not take credit for that run is later in the day the gps said 80mph or something like that and I know that was incorrect so I just threw out the whole session for max speed.

What a load a baloney.....I have never heard such piffle in my life....lol....What you really meant to say was......Look Guys I have Just Gone and Got Myself a NEW BUGGY, and this is a video of ME taking it out and Having FUN......now we could believe this last sentence or go back to concentrating on how surfaces plays a role...lol

BTW the grass surface you were running on looked in very good condition and very smooth too, for sure if you run from hard mud or tarmac to grass, the drag will feel a lot, but it looked like you were running onto damp grass, so that would add more drag.

I am guessing these places are what you guys call sod farms, we call them turf farms here, but you would never in a million years get an owner to allow buggying on them, so dont churn it up in the turns too much guys.

Eh Dino...all tongue in cheek mate, I am just cheesed off I havn't been out in ages...

We have a dozen or so such "turf farms" around here. Only 1 of them will allow us to buggy. It is all about the type of grass they grow and the type of soil it is grown on.
We use smooth big foots, they do the least amount of damage during those high speed turns.
Sorry for the hijack Dino, can I go with you out to your farm some day with you?

If you want to learn how to go fast and actually complete turns . Quit pulling the safety WAaaaayyy too early !
