Need help with ATB rules overseas !
It looks like we have a chance to join up with NAPKRA and get established to have ATB events and competitions ! Thanks BBREX !
Can anybody help me to find info on the rules and reg's around ATB in Great Britian , Europe or Aus. ?
Anything official would be nice.
Rules of competition?
Rules of conduct ?
Any information on how you go about holding ATB events would be appretiated !

Not specific to ATB, but have you already been through these?
They cover a lot that would be inclusive of ATB. Safety/maintenance check of the the actually board.... similar to what MBS started here.... although it needs to be expanded and
non-brand specific should probably also be included.
The insurance company is probably also going to be very interesting in what is in place for:
Site selection
Threat assessment/evaluation
Emergency action plans
Incident reporting
There is coverage of these in some of the IKO docs.
The insurance companies generally have the incident reporting forms on their website, but it's important that NAPKRA actively distributes them to
event organizers on an ongoing basis. Sometimes it's easy to get lax about that.
They are probably going to want to have drafts for event waivers with verbiage similar to:

Engage in and promote safe, responsible flying/coduct, and to adhere to all event safety rules.
Inspect all facilities, fields, and equipment prior to participating and to immediately report any safety concerns
to event organizers.

Wear, at all times, the identification or wrist band provided by the event organizers.
Acknowledge that kite flying/ATB may involve risk of serious injury and/or economic losses resulting from my actions or those of others.
Assume this risk and agree not to sue event sponsors, organizers, owners and lessors of event locations, and
event participants, as well as the North American Parakart Association, its directors, agents, and volunteers, for losses,
damages, property damage, or injury.
I HAVE READ THE ABOVE WAIVER AND RELEASE, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY.
(Requirement for parent signature for participants under 18 years of age)

Sorry dude I took a while to notice this!
Yeah you should be able to get the general rules for current competitions on the BPKA website (British Power Kite Association)

Power kiting is not officially recognised as a sport in the UK as far I know so there are no official set of UK rules. The BPKA are the only people
really running comps though.
Except on the water, the BKSA (british kitesurf association) run those and are a bit more advanced because they have existed longer.
