2009 Feast
For the 2009 feast, lets start with the basics.....
If you have a burner for the turkey pots.. clean it with a wire brush if needed for a clean burn. ( mine needed it after being outside for a
year)
If your bringing something from out of town that needs refridgeration or freezing before Turkey day, see if someone local can help by posting on
here.
If you have something that is really deliscous but wander how to get it heated....post it here.
I've seen everything from grills, boiling pots, pig roasters, solar ovens, charcoal grills, and other types of camping cookware used at DBBB. We
all share in the feast and making it happen... so what is eveyone bringing?
I've got a pair of burners and turkey pots... anyone want to bring the oil? I will bring one bird, and have freezer room for a couple others if
anyone else is interested.
It's everyone who attends that makes the feast what it is... so what are you planning to make this the greatest Thanksgiving Feast ever?
What do you do with your foils?

Hey Steve
I was going to start a post in the next few days but you beat me to it. The dead bird checking account has enough money to cover birds and other
supplies. All I ask is that you keep your receipt and make sure I get it and I can write you a check to cover expenses.
Steve M - 2 burners and turkey pots
Steve M - turkey
Susan - peanut oil for two pots, several roasting pans, foil, baked beans

I am bringing tabouli, cookies, and will make some yummy textured vegetable protein (tvp).

Do any of you remember a guy from Kansas that had an old Bronco with a couple buggies and some libre kites that went to the DBBB some years in the
past? His name was Brad. He may have had a screen name of jungle tommy.
I was just curious cause I just went buggying with him last week. It was a blast.

I remember him. I has been at least 5 years since he was down but he talked about the old air strip that he buggys on at home.

Mmmmm... I can almost smell that turkey and gravy already!
Not sure if anyone is bringing dressing... any last minute shoppers want to pickup a box of stove-top dressing?
