Hey all ! Were here to say wellcome and have been here since saturday. Sunday & monday had 40 to 50 mph winds and already a Blokarter went to hopital. Please enjoy and be carefull with the Playa dirt .If you get road rash ,Clean and cover right away.Infection takes fast with with even the smallest scrapes and cuts. Ofcourse Fran took him to hospital.Wi fi sucks here with download time but we'll do our best to kick in for those at home that were not able to join 09's kick ass event. Mild winds today so lots of pics will be dumped tonight on site .....Today the NABX crew rolls in so were heading out to Playa ! Yes, Ken (Evots ). got what turned out to be a dislocated shoulder and banged himself up pretty good fully padded when Hit by a dust Devil. I hope you are doing O.K. Ken.
The help he got and speed he was treated was fantastic.
I thought I heard about a land sailor that also took a nasty spill as well ?

Thanks for posting the pictures so far Ken.

The Pig kite isn't as lifty as it looks with Marcus all padded up like that but we are glad that safety gear has become important no matter what you fly !
I told him not to worry, that people will offer Him all sorts of interesting stuff to fly after the wind is too much for his 13m Pulse if he just makes it out. That he will fly things he never imagined or could back home in Germany but this just isn't what I had in mind ! :singing:

I got to see all the pic's on the way home and they are great ! I can't wait to see the rest ! :wee:

Marcus flying Ken's pig has just replaced the Phantom on Ivanpah at sunset screensaver of choice for me ! :singing:

Update on me: Saw the orthopedic surgeon and the shoulder is under observation and MAY not need any surgery! Still in the sling but the mobility is much better. The bruises are finally resolving (now I can actually see the imprint of my pants and padding in the bruise. Still a glorious shade of purple!!!

If you can create a set of rims I can take past 37mph for NABX next year I'll gladly race your in you newest creation of a buggy ! I promise to take the rims to the fastest I possibly can and you have to do the same with your buggy !

This will be a great challenge and we BOTH can't lose! Only better our personal best !

Dude ,That's just the last couple of pics left on card before clearing . I did not even post the "LOAD'S" of great pic's and videos I caught of everyone.I think I even have one screaming next to the Dutch crew as they blew by. I have not had time cause still catching up with things I walked away from before leaving......:singing: I'm glad we all had a great time and next time everyone will listen about both sides of the coin regarding the winds. Sorry a few didn't have gear for winds that reached 70 mph Thursday night . I really had to tone it down with almost flipping my daughter in tandem land sailing. Still had another personal best record beat, even a tandem one till I twisted the pole hookup beyond repair. I short stepped all the way back home cause I didn't want to leave ! Just went too "FAST" :wee: I will post more soon ! who has the Group shot ?.....Ken , Love the mix for music choice....sounds appropriate !:smug:
