Nice privilege while it lasted.
Just got off the phone with the property owner to get permission to fly this afternoon. He was at the field taking delivery on 100,000 pine seedlings
that will be planted this coming week.
Wind permitting, we'll kite today, tomorrow, and Sunday and then begin searching for a comparable site. We have a few others places to go, but none
with the same amount of room and clean wind.
We're bummed but thankful to have had the access for as long as we did.

That is really sad. I'm sure in that flatland, you can find another place that will be suitable. Carry on my wayward son.

That sucks....sounds like you got a pretty good attitude about the whole thing...props to you.
I go to this empty dirt field in Moorpark...I like to call it my own mini El Mirage. It appears at one time before the economy soured, it was set to
be a housing development...I think it is only a matter of time before that will come to fruition...the land I'm sure is too value to be kept as a dirt
field for my kiting.
That will be a sad day indeed....

We will carry on and there'l be peace when we are done. We'll lay our weary heads to rest and we won't cry no more.:wink2:

Sorry to hear you lost a spot that's never a good thing. How are the 8-11m Neo's working for you in the buggy?

might try to look at small airfields could be a few private around ...
the fuel guys knows who flies ie.....crop duster fields strip are around

Chad, great idea. Being an Air Traffic Controller I do know where there are several dusting operations. One in particular has a strip in the middle of
large field. Could be ideal.
Went out today and tried to force something to happen in 4kts. 11m was more like a yo-yo than a sail. One last day tomorrow.
