Lat: 60°15'35.79"N
Long: 134°17'36.41"W

Permanently windy (or so it seemed). Steady 25-30km/h winds, clean as can be, directly onshore.

Even better? Centered around the summer solstice you have about 20+ hours of kite-able daylight every day. Heavenly.

Is that you on the water macboy? What a beautiful place to kite with the mountains off in the distance.

Sure is, and yes, an amazing place to be. Cold water but nothing a 4/3 wetsuit didn't keep at bay. Coulda stayed out for hours! The long warm days sure make me fond of the Yukon. I guess the same would be true for Alaska for you US kiters.....

First time with the PL on the water. Set it down a few times to try the relaunch and learned that patience is the key. Grab a line and wait for the kite to drift, lay out and spring back to life. We had tons of kites, all kinds of kayaks, hobie cats, windsurfers - you name it. But no kiteboards.

Go figure.

Just as well. Got to work on some body dragging and managed to get plucked out of the water resulting in a smile from ear to ear that lasted for days. Even still thinking back on it ; )

Good on Ya, Macboy !

Hopefully we can get a session in at Squamish this weekend ! Glacier fed water should be familiar now ! Bring your wet suit. I have a board ! With any luck we will get you riding on it !

Looks like Bennet Lake in Carcross? My bro and I spent a little time getting dragged around this summer.... on the sand only.

Oh yeah! The sand at Bennet would be heaven! I love it up there. Absolutely love it. I don't think it'd take a whole lot to convince the wife that we should get a summer place up there.
