Found another good field at Clemson University SC. It is called Kite Hill. You can google it for directions on google earth.
Parking permits seems to be requested for parking lots during the week at P1 but weekends are open, I also found you can drive right up and onto the
field next to a water tower and radio station pass the recycle center. I can not see any reason for a parking permit if you drive on up during week
days.
It is on top of a hill and we had some great static flying there. Been there a few times and never seen anybody there.
There is a fire department and a medic station only a few hundred yards away. These may come in handy.

It's not that great at all. I went to Clemson University. You can pretty much just drive up into the field from the side nearest the fire dept.
Only go on a weekend or you might get towed.

anyone know if buggies are allowed at myrtle beach south carolina if so, where? thanks philip

I have gone there most of my life but not since I got into power kiting. A cousin (Airhunter) was there about 6 weeks ago and had to wait till after
6 just to fly his kite. The law might not prevent you from using a buggy but the crowds might.
