Try the Delta Park raceway side. The only problem I heard was dog mines so keep your mouth shut...........

hi mudhound,
I'm in ptown too and am always looking for places to buggy. Delta park is good, but it is tricky to find a good time in the spring and summer because
of all of the soccer players. There is also a river beach near the airport- look n google near 33rd and marine drive- I think it's called Broughton
Beach. I have only buggied there once, but i've been thinking about getting out there more on those weekends that I can't make t out to the coast.
Most of the year you need bigfoots out there cause the sand is soft- also it can be full of surprises like dog bombs and needles :flaming:. I'd love
to hear if you find more local places to buggy...

OUT WEST near cornelious pass rd. there are field everywhere to ride on, you know you are close if you find brown middle school or you are looking at
INTEL buildings and you are only an hour from coast

those fields are all private farms
I've been tempted to to chat up the farmers
to get in their feilds though most of them plow rows do I imagine it would be absurdly bumpy not to mention a log of them spray some pretty nasty
stuff... they wear full body suits! But that said, the largest open field with clear area for wind I've seen is south off the exit of shute rd at 26.
Delta does look pretty decent, but haven't been out there yet. There's also a park at 25th @ the max that's just big enought for some small buggy
adventures; this is where they have a munch of soccer and baseball fields that conjoin. There's a few fields at the fairgrounds... and also I've
heard that the area between the rec area at cornelius pass and VW is public? Nothing south og 27 that I've notive until you hit 219, which is
wetlands and cows.
I've been looking at this area on google maps a lot lately and will likely make my next house move to a large flat area with clear wind
I spend my time between hillsboro and manzanita, so I'm all for keeping this thread going :bigok:
