Good news to all that have been waiting for the word on conditions out at white lake Nevada - it is dry and runnable - all of it is dry, not
one brownish-gray blemish on it. I didn't have the chance to actually go out on it but there seemed to be the usual cow tracks here and there and
some new patches of growth (nominal though). So if anyone's interested we can maybe start getting ready to car pool out there in the coming
weeks/months.
It looked beautiful. (sorry no pictures)

There is another location that I was just recently made aware of that is enormous compared to White Lake and not too far from it (about 60 miles
North). It too is also completely bone dry. I don't know the name but I do know the location -

White lake is roughly a mile by a mile; whereas, this location is roughly 7.5 miles by 10.5 miles - wow!

Further update - I just got off the phone with the Pizza Factory in Janesville (which is about 5 miles North East of the "Big Ass Dry Lake" or it's
actual name of "Honey Lake". They said that there are BLM vehicles out on it all the time and they didn't know who exactly owned it (they added that
they themselves go out on the lake and have never been hassled by anyone) - I did find out that the Maidu use it for ceremonial purposes but the land
is not controlled by the Maidu. There are a few basic access roads and vehicles are allowed (as far as I know) on it. Those access roads are - Pole
line Rd. and Simms road. There is also a Federal Prison roughly 5 miles South of the dry lake.

Here is the first, and most likely last, account of my visit to "Honey Lake" - huge with no access to the lake that I could find in the 2 hours I
spent driving around the stupid thing. Done with that. White lake is dry - almost too dry - the amount of dust that was coming up doing leisurely 30
mph runs was way out of control - and the dust devils are quite intimidating at times -

Final word
- Honey Lake - waste of time
- White Lake - very, very dusty.

That sucks ... what a big waste of gas that was. Thanks for scouting it out for us though.
Thanks for the video clip. Gotta watch those dust devils .. they will have you talking to yourself
