hi guys :-)
ok over the years when ive been on hols with my family ive always bought a stunt kite (for the kids!!) but it's me who end up using it for hours on
end :D
anywayz ive now decided to go all out & try the hobby out properly :D
Ive used stunt kites (dual line) & have no problems etc so im not a complete newbie. But i need some advice on which kite to buy!
I will be using it in fairly high winds (mostly at the beach so winds will be pretty strong) & i want one BIG! 
I like the sound of power kites but i much prefer the delta type but there seems to be very few delta power kites?
my budget will be around £100 to £150 Any info / advice & any links etc much appreciated!
so basically what im looking for is:
One i can use in highwinds as well as low winds
Delta (Stunt) ...NOT quad line just dual
Must be BIG! :D

oh, forgot to mention, im 32 years young! so the bigger the kite the better but ideally would want one that also performs stunts well?

Several of your paramenters are at odds with each other.
Even with your experience with stunters, bigger is not better and might hurt you.
Then there is the budget thing.
For fun beach flying and 2-line recreational power kiting, consider the Symphony or Rush series from HQ. They are foils, not deltas. With some
notable exceptions such as some of the revs (Revolution quad line), most power kites are foils.
And why the insistance on 2-line? most 2-line series top out on size at about 3 meters, and that is span, not square area, as is the unit of measure
for 4-line foils.
And generally the larger the kite, the smaller useable wind range, esp. for beginners.
For the budget and wind range you want, 3 meters span is about right for 2-line or 3m sq. for 4-line.

it must be a delta! i just much prefer the look of them (my own pref!) ...what are the Mirage XL & ITW Goliath like?
The other i was looking at was Thor's Hammer? ..i said my budget was around £150 (about $300) but i can stretch to more if need be!
Im an adrenaline junky at heart! (i also do DH MTB / free style etc) but like i say, i want to try something different

acampbell is right on. You are hoping for WAY too much from just one kite.
The size of kite depends on the wind speed and your size + exprience. A big kite and big winds + being a beginer just won't work for you. Sorry about
that. Big winds, and learning dictate that you want to start with a somewhat small kite. Around 3m in size is a good choice. Don't be fooled. Look at
the recent posts and you will find a fellow that got lifted and sent downwind his 1st day out with a 3m. He wasn't hurt or scared off of the sport
because he didn't have too big a kite .
What direction do you think you will go with powerkiting ???
Water, land scudding and jumping , buggy, ATB ....Blades ????
2 line kites can be a real bother when learning and won't resell well. With a 3 or 4 line setup you get lines hooked up to the back called brakes.
This is super handy. You can usually relaunch these kites backwards after a crash from the handles or bar. With 2 line you usually have to set the
kite up all over again waisting time and creating agro. Brakes also give you added control + safety. You can just back the kite down if you want to
land it.
If you buy a good name brand kite and for some reason want to sell it won't be too difficult. Very few people ever sell their 3m kite. It becomes
essential gear for nuking winds + the perfect kite to introduce the sport the the mates ! Some brands to look at are , HQ, PKD, Flexifoil, Peter Lynn
and Ozone. All of these brands have a good starter package. Many other brands do as well. I think these brands resell very well.

i will be using the kiite standing (no buggy etc) at beach & fields etc.
After a little research ive come up with these:
HQ - Devil Wing 2.5 (would love the 3.2 but funds wont stretch that far atm & as its my 1st *real* kite i think £270 for the 3.2
is a little steep for a 1st time buyer!
Elliot - Mirage XL or XXL I Read a user review of the XL at another website & he/she praises it, so this seems a good choice.
At the moment these are the 2 im looking up so any info on these would be great from anyone who might own or have owned one!

have you ever tried a 4-line kite? Ever tried a Revolution?I'm sure if you try a 4-line kite you will want 5.
