bugymangp - 13-11-2007 at 10:53 AM

i had to replace one that got eaten by jake(dog).
i think we should have a flapper race.

kitemaker4 - 13-11-2007 at 11:31 AM

If I start now I should have plenty of time to make up a 15 meter (lol).

Hey Chris bring all the sizes you have.

If it's home made... even though it's not an NPW, can I use it for the Unofficial Rag Flapper Race?

SecondWind - 13-11-2007 at 03:20 PM

AJ - is that you on the Dirtsurfer? On a hard beach I bet you could get moving pretty good in 5 mph of wind with that big ol' NPW

bbrex - 13-11-2007 at 04:39 PM

I'm ready tooooo, I was a bit disappointed we didn't get things together last year for the rag flapin races. What are the max length of lines 12 ft, 15ft, 20ft? I made up some 12ft sets for last year hoping to to do some racing. Susan and I have put a lot of miles and hours on our rags this year in preperation for the races.
I can hardly wait!!

No it wasn't a 32m. It was a 35m... yeah, that's it! And it was 3.0 mph average wind speed (8.3mph peak earlier) and 2.1mph at the very instant that the photo was taken... ;)

Dave Petty who?

sonicwind - 14-11-2007 at 01:53 PM

what's a "rag flapper"?

Taper123 - 14-11-2007 at 03:15 PM

Rag Flappers are just an affectionate name for NPW (Nasa Para Wing) kites.
