So today I was at Garry Point Park with my Dad, and the wind was glorious. I got to fly the 2.8m Reactor and had some fun, however, the wind jumped up
to 20 miles and I quickly learned that at 20 with gusts of higher I cannot stay on the ground with the 2.8m. Sadly the only smaller kite we had with
us is a 2m Buster I, and when the wind gets that high it is too far above its wind range to fly. Something similar to a 2m Brooza would be great for
when the wind is that high, but I cannot find anyone willing to part with their small Brooza. Is there another kite out there that has the same
limited vents and stability as the Brooza?

Don't know about the vents but...
Pansh Flux 1.4m.
I have used this kite in BIG wind at Ivanpah.
It's a little punchy when the apparent wind kicks in, and flies really quickly through the air, so it's not park and ride.
It was also my go to kite for static flying before I got my Revolutions.
Cost is next to nothing, so it's not the end of the world if it's not for you.
Not much of a resale value, but I could be convinced to buy it as a back-up (mine has been through hell and back and is a little worse for wear).
I have an Ozone Little Devil (1.8m?) but I like flying the Flux better:o:

If your looking to buy new and something that is well behaved; look into the 2m Hornet/Beamer. Good up to 30mph wind speeds and can even comfortably
handle gusts into the low 30's. Both these kites will run 30+mph in the buggy and I'm sure they'd do even more in a larger riding area.

Did you notice the new signs at Garry Point?
You must now get a waiver and number to wear on your helmet from Richmond council to fly there.
Brooza was a unique kite with the limited openings. My go to FB for very high wind is the 1.7m Sting. I hope my 3.5m LS2 will replace it?

The 1.7m Sting is the ONLY kite I buggy with in 30-50+mph winds.
I tried all other small kites and they just are not the same.
1.4m Flux. Bridled for max power in 20mph range winds. Unpleasant to fly in higher winds.
1.8 Rage and 1.5 Soulfly. Way to powerful in the higher winds. I hot launched the 1.8 once and flew out the front of the buggy.
1m Ozone imp. Just not quite enough kite.
If anyone thinks those little kites are nothing; try them in higher wind.
Like Ozone said somewhere 'power is useless without control'.
I have the 2.4 and 3.3 Stings too. They are only impressive when fully and completely powered up. They only come out in the most extreme of gusty
conditions.
If you have times when the wind is such trash that you won't buggy in it; look into getting a Sting for just those winds.

Yeah Blade, there is a number of us working on getting the proper insurance and stuff to get the permit for Garry Point, Let us know if you found
someone that offeres the required 3rd party liablity for a reasonable price.
Back to the topic, The Brooza had the limited vents making it pretty forgiving when flying in high and gusty winds, They do very well when overpowered
in nasty situations. We've had many days where we had everyone else park their kites and take turns on a 2 and 3 meter Brooza. Sadly those kites are
long gone years ago, I have never seen another fixed bridal eat gusts like they did. There are some good options mentioned above though, We'll have to
see if we can try a few out in nasty conditions and see how they do.
Once again, Just looking for something small to put up when survival becomes more important than max speed.

Ok, thank you for the replies. How do the Stings do in gusty winds? I know the Broozas will absolutely eat most gusts, and if they can't they power up
slow enough to grab breaks before they get too dangerous. The kite would be my kite for choosing life in dangerous winds.
That is too bad that the Brooza is unique with the limited vents. Like Pablo said, I just need a kite that I can fly in nasty winds and not get myself
killed. There comes a point where I just don't have enough mass to hold the kite down. About 20 seems to be a hard limit on the wind I can physically
hold down the 2.8m in, and I prefer not to be lofted by something that can't put me down softly. Something a bit more friendly and a tad bit smaller
that I can safely fly is my main concern. I will have to try flying some of these options in sketchy wind and see how they handle.

The Sting II was designed as gust-muncher to fly in ugly winds.
From the original literature:

During testing in North Wales the Sting was used in winds exceeding 50mph! As this kite is so unbelievably stable, non aggressive and super strong,

recommend that you upgrade the flying lines if you are planning to use this kite for this purpose)."

A couple of years ago when we had a gale hit IBX I flew my 2.4 Sting to death in 50+ mph winds. While it was flying it was wonderfully stable [turned
into a wad of ripstop and string when it landed 
] even when, on hindsight, it
ripped in half [two cells in the center of the kite spit open after five years of flying and crashing on the Playa] it flew wonderfully in stupid high
winds.
Recently replaced that with a 3.x Sting which is filling the big [?small?] shoes of its predecessor.
n.b. they are getting hard to find on the market so happy hunting.
