While I still have to file the paperwork, we now have approval from the Jekyll Island Authority for Monday May 14th to Friday May 18.
This is a bit later in May than some previous years, but we are slaves to Newtonian physics, planetary mechanics and the fuzzy science of weather
prediction. Here are the predicted (low) tide times and levels for that week...
Monday May 14 2:23 pm -0.5
Tuesday May 15 3:11 p -0.7
Wednesday May 16 3:59 -0.8
Thursday May 17 4:48 p -0.7
Friday May 18 5:40 p -0.5
With negative tides (lower than mean), it looks like big beaches all week.
I have to run now but will come back to edit this post with more data. Just wanted to get this out there.
Thanks to Ted and all the others for taking an active role in looking at the data helping to identify these promising dates.3shot - 24-5-2017 at 10:18 AM
