I know this is probably a long shot, but does anyone have a 3m Beamer they're willing to sell to a newbie with limited pockets? Can only go around
$225.

Never owned one but I did a quick search.
Take a look, but ask here before you buy.

Really? What's wrong with Beamers? They are a perfectly good entry level kite. Stable, predictable, good quality. I don't see the down side. bigkid - 19-2-2017 at 07:53 PM
I have a older Beamer 3.6m for sale that's in great shape.
It comes with everything needed.

I don't think he was knocking beamers but rather stating that there are other suitable kites. Widening the search equals greater availability and best
opportunity to score a great deal. IFlyKites - 19-2-2017 at 10:15 PM
If you are in need of a great starter kite, I have a complete Ozone Flow 2.0m up for sale. I'm only wanting $200 and I'll throw in free shipping.
Do note it requires a bit more wind to start pulling hard but it will fly great starting in 7 mph winds. sand flea - 20-2-2017 at 10:41 AM

The TSR is a 3 line kite on a bar. You want 4 line and handles. As mentioned lots of other kites will do the job. Most reputable companies put out a
stable low lift model comparable to the Beamer.
