Jim, I've tried to convince wifey, but we just got the house how we like it after 12 years, so there's no likelihood of that happening... One day we'll buy a vaca home though... Might be too old to kite by then... Or maybe I'll just be your age

Definitely looking forward to this again!

We were flying in St. Augustine at the same time. Great conditions on Sunday. I was teaching my son and my friend how to buggy.

Hey Jim. How did St. Simons fair after the storm? Looks like Jekyll was spared for the most part?

For the most part there are a lot of downed trees. Currently sewage is not working and parts of the island don't have electricity, but the island faired well considering how bad the island expected to get.

JimSSI - 10-10-2016 at 07:57 PM

Right - they are letting folks back 10 am tomorrow.

The evacuation was easy, the storm came early (not at high tide) and was further offshore than they feared.

The return has been a cluster.

Fallen trees and power lines down. 100% loss of electric.

Plus the lack of pumping stations.

I'll head home tomorrow PM
