I'll be there. Not sure yet if I'm coming down Thursday or Friday morning. I have "stuff" I can bring to sell if anyone is interested: AK103 board and sherpa bag (I've never used it, but it has been ridden by other a couple of times). Kite trike buggy (chromed steel low miles). Even have a waste harness small/medium waste 30 - 34" approx I never use (mystic I think,I have to look). I'd even sell my 3.6 beamer (have bar or handles) IM me if anyone is interested.....prices so low we're practically giving it away :)

OffAxis - 26-8-2016 at 04:32 AM

I'll be probably arriving Thursday night.

I would be interested in purchasing a buggy for cheap from someone. My custom buggy build is still in CAD and I'm pretty busy and won't have the time to finish it before WBB. Plus I've never seen one come up for sale close to me on Craigslist. U2U's sent.

shortlineflyer - 26-8-2016 at 06:09 AM

How much for the big foot

cheezycheese - 26-8-2016 at 07:41 AM

Guess who's back...

bigkid - 26-8-2016 at 07:49 AM

Is there room for any out-of-towners?
Been thinking about bringing a bunch of different kites and boards along with the buggies and other things.

shortlineflyer - 26-8-2016 at 08:53 AM

I might have space in living room for an airmattreas

bugymangp - 26-8-2016 at 11:37 AM

My extended axle is sold

kteguru - 26-8-2016 at 01:12 PM

Since the Cheeze man is going I'll have to make sure I'm there:D

Nice!! Guess I'll have to brush up my FB skills... :P

hiaguy - 26-8-2016 at 05:51 PM

I've been booked for weeks. (No surprise there.)
At this point, I'm not sure if Ines will be joining us, so we may have to rely on last years photos, but my brother (from the left coast - bigkid understands) will be joining us for a couple of pre-WBB days ('till Wednesday).

Bring on the wind and beer! :wee:

Only 46 days to go!

Kite trike photos

aronma - 27-8-2016 at 01:54 PM

A few folks asked for some pics of the Kite Trike. Thanks ;)

It looks like there will be some good deals available on buggies. I am guessing the Kite Trike will sell at an affordable price? Being able to avoid shipping costs + actually try the buggy out will be an opportunity that doesn't come around often. The investment in a basic kite trike will give you a spring board to build on / from. Very likely paying for itself with parts you choose to re-use? If you can at all afford to, pick up a buggy at the bash!

You can also sit in and or try out most any of the other brands/types of buggies that others have. I know for a fact you will change your mind on the CAD buggy you have now.

OffAxis - 29-8-2016 at 04:43 AM

Aronma: Make sure you bring that thing with. It may just be finding a new home.

BigKid: I plan on it. My CAD buggy is on hold, I have shifted my focus to some other projects and probably will pick it back up in the spring time.

Work getting in the way but not all hope is lost. Prayer never hurts!

aronma - 29-8-2016 at 01:22 PM

OffAxis...I'll be down on Thursday morning and have my (your?) buggy in the truck with me.

Now if I can just find someone interested in a barely used DJI Phantom 2V+ with a ton of extras.............:spin:

Mark, talk to my wife about the Phantom.

aronma - 29-8-2016 at 05:53 PM

Howard, I sent you a U2U.

OffAxis - 30-8-2016 at 10:30 AM

Guys,

Do I need to get a sand stake before I come to WBB. I've flown once before at the beach but always had a family member help me launch, land, and pack. I use a screwdriver for my ground stake but that's not going to cut in at the beach. If everyone is out buggying I'm going to assume I will need a ground stake adequate for sand. Thoughts?

bugymangp - 30-8-2016 at 10:54 AM

Yes you will something about 14 inches long

abkayak - 30-8-2016 at 11:00 AM

i will be happy to hand over one of my patented golf ball sand spikes...i may even give you 2
pblm solved

aronma - 30-8-2016 at 01:20 PM

Lol.....I started with a screw driver too. Had to add some ribbon to it so I could find it in the sand :)

Bladerunner - 30-8-2016 at 05:02 PM

You can also jam your board into the sand and use it to anchor your brake lines. Less than ideal but do-able in a pinch.

That's not working at Wildwood anymore, not that kind of soft sand left Ken;).

By time we get there, as long as the tractors haven't groomed in a bit, it's one solid beach! Minus a fe spots where the wind gathers loose sand :D

You could anchor your kite to one of the bulldozers, dump trucks, graders, or whatever else they're driving out on the beach.

cheezycheese - 6-9-2016 at 09:25 AM

Room booked !! :D

Marc, I have not heard from him in a long time ... about 1 year ago, in fact.

shehatesmyhobbies - 7-9-2016 at 04:14 PM

Hasn't been on here, but he has been at the bash.

shortlineflyer - 4-10-2016 at 11:03 AM

I'm looking for a Beamer 3m to replace the one eaten by the beachcomber in OC MD. Let me know if this is still available for sale.

Thanks
