Talked with Cheezy today, he sounds like he needs a day out big time. Call him up and make sure he gets out!

Earliest I can make it there is 12pm but it definitely looks like a great day for some kiting.

I'm truly shocked that kiting activities aren't >>HUGE<< here on Long Island. We have excellent winds and ample beaches on two shores separated by not much more than 10 - 12 miles, depending on which county you live in. My house in Northport is a 4 minute drive to Crab Meadow Beach...or a 12 minute walk! If the wind is out of the south, I can reach Heckscher Park field 6 in 25 minutes (this time of year) by just shooting down the Sagtikos Parkway.

abkayak - 23-2-2016 at 07:29 PM

Be happy their aren't too many of us...we'd be legislated out of existence
LI..is the kiting equivalent of Vail, don't tell anyone

abkayak - 26-2-2016 at 06:41 AM

GAME ON!...again:thumbup::thumbup:
Sunday call 15-20 on shore, 5pm low tide...many miles will be logged on this one
festivity's begin around 2...all welcome, but no pblm i will do this alone if you insist
:D

Wow...I'm seriously tempted to take a ride to the other side of the island to see this go down and fly whatever seems suitable to the conditions I find in your neck of the woods... can you be more specific on the exact location so I can find you guys???
