Where's good to go snowkiting or landboarding around CT?

Basically any beach on The Cape will provide good wind during the year. Typical morning offshore, afternoon on shore wind pattern. From the west south west almost all year long. Try Sandy neck beach in Sandwich during the summer. The beach is not good due to the large amount of rocks but if you go at low tide the flats are awesome for skudding! Right now I fly Craigville Beach in Centerville due to the lack of crowds and closeness to my house

Thanks for the suggestions. Is Nauset Beach good?

Yes!@! it is a wide beach and can get incredible wind before a storm hits! The nude sunbathing sights does not hurt either!!!

Nauset Light Eastham or Nauset Beach Orleans?

Any of the national seashore sites are pretty much off limits to all flying when the plovers show up.

Nauset is long but I don't think its all that wide and its usually pretty well populated and has dunes here and there which will disrupt the wind - and the sand is soft and the drop off from the tide steep so I wouldn't think its the best for landboarding.

If you are in Orleans try Skaket Beach on the bay side for landboarding. When the tide's out the sand is pretty well packed but you need to be mindful of the big rock out there (and people).

Outer cape bayside sand is kind of touch and go. some beaches firm up nice, others stay wet and mushy. Ocean side is usually way too soft to landboard and the tide doesn't go out far enough or the beach remain flat enough to be ideal for landboarding.

I've had a great time at Brewster flats. The flats extend a mile out to sea at low tide. The sand has ripple in it and there are some rock outcrops to avoid but that is easy in a buggy. As with most of the northeast, buggies
are a fall winter spring thing as there are too many people wandering around in the summer.
