New boots and frames are so close...

I can't wait to put my doom wheels back together; I've been obsessing about this for over a year.

Naturaly no wind now That they're here

I bet Terrablader didn't need to bang his frames together with a 5kg hammer.
I used a Powerslide alu frame and Xsjado skeleton boots. I wound up with just enough clearance by the toe, so I don't have to drill any new holes. I'm tempted to do some napoleon dynamite style bike towing:

those are nice ! i dropped mine back to the 8" tires, they just seem more fun and friendly and shorten the wheel base a bit.

So those frames are premade, is that correct? You just add wheels and boots?

The frames are from powerslide the rails were from a local metal shop. I clamped them together and drilled holes for the axels 12mm and the bolts 8mm. Then I positioned the aggressive inliner frames using alu spacers I cut.

On the axels I had spacers/ plugs cut out of an alu pipe so the front wheel is 5mm off the rail and the back wheel is centered. A friend with a machine shop spun those plugs out for me.

I've tried 12" & 6" wheels maybe 8" would be the happy medium but the long wheel base still whips around nice on a downloop turn and they go over or through everything without getting stuff stuck between the bearings and rails.

My wife looks at them and thinks I want a broken neck. But I feel safe on these.

Nice,

I need some doom wheels to beat my top speed on Coyotes. Seems I can't get myself past 39mph on them.
Without speed as a motive I feel my Coyotes are less likely to cause me a broken leg etc..

These look like a very bad idea...think I will put them on the to do list

I grew up as a speed skater, and I think I would take to kite skating better than any other kiting except maybe buggy. These look like EXACTLY the thing I would want for myself. The only problem is my space here is only good for wheels that narrow maybe two months out of the year so I would not be able to justify spending more than maybe $200 on a whole pair of skates, which I know is not that reasonable. My speed skates I used to race with were not top of the line and were $600+ :( I still have them, but they are low-top ice boots from Bont, and the frames are ultra light aluminum. Not sure what would break first, my frames or my ankles...

Those yellow wheels are mine, a slapped together second generation of the original prototype, built in an hour to catch the tide... The third generation is a lot better and getting better by the day. I'll post them when they're done.
