Anyone got a good video of how to make a good turn with skis on snow?
I am finding myself doing the snow plow thing and bringing the kite to 12 o clock before I change directions.
There has to be a better way to change directions than what I am doing, I can carve and turn lust fine in a groomed ski hill but out on the lake on
flat ground I am all out of ballance and feel like if I move too aggressively I will high side.
I was shown how to loop the kite to switch directions with the kite but I dont know what to do with my feet

No video, but send the kite in your new direction and lean against the force to set your edges and create an effective slope. If you have enough power
you can lean hard at speed and not feel like high siding.
I find it hard to make a clean turn when underpowered, sometimes you have to snowplow or even step around.

At speed and with power start a downwind turn into the kite, send the kite back in the new direction of travel and hold on. Depending on whether you
start your turn or send the kite first will determine how much power the kite generates through the turn / redirect.
As rectifier said, if you are underpowered, you have to snowplow or step around so start your turn earlier while you still have some speed in your run
and send the kite faster - just don't send it fast and up or you will leave the ground (unless that is something you want to do).

If I have enough power rather than snow plow to reduce speed I turn harder upwind as I am bringing the kite up. When it is near zenith and starting to
turn in my new direction I use that 1/2 second with low power to get my turn in and at least facing downwind again. Diving the kite boosts your speed
again and you can edge in the new direction.
For me it is about getting the timing down to turn right as the kite is in that low power / lift situation.

as above^^^^ power into it, turn upwind, send kite back, turn down wind, dive kite, edge hard and go across/upwind

Great description of what has to be done...I'm heading out to see what I can do with a 12mph westerly and a board, probably not much but it'll be fun
anyway
