...is in fact possible:

To some extent anyway. Note how he struggles to go upwind.

If there are any other stories or videos to share regarding kitesurfing with fixed-bridle kites, please post.

There are some people that used to frequent this site that only kitesurfed with fixed bridles. Spelopower is one of them. I think I spelled his name wrong. Mostly they used closed cell fixed bridles. I have also seen someone kitesurf with a vapor.

You are right on Gabe, speleopower is the name I always remember when it comes to kiteboarding with open and closed cell fixed bridles. He inspired me to get a quiver of Quadrifoil KiteSurfers that I have really enjoyed snowkiting and landboarding but I have not used on water yet.

Here is another speleopower post

what about , spleopower in coco beach he was top competitor on kitesurfers(hi-performance FB foil). have not seen or heard from him in some time. he use to be on here alot.

i would choose a PL reactor10. 3m in about 12-15 with a strop, no reason to think you cannot do it. only skill and knowledge separate the differences in choice of device, not the device.

choice is good,
choosing wisely is why we are here

There was a video/discussion a while back about how to retrieve a fb kite if it hits the drink. The guy was flying a Flexifoil Blade iirc...
