Another Race kite...yeah!

Hard to tell by the picture but the cell openings on the leading edge look really narrow...pic distort?

Anyway...can't wait to see what Ozone brings to the table.

Pass the Quantum anyone

Narrow (side to side) or short (top to bottom)?

Most racekites have short inlets. The cells themselves are shorter too. The kites are HA and the space between the the upper and lower skin is much less than the average kite. They are essentially presenting a razor blade profile to the air as they cut through it.

The shorter intakes (within reason) results in air passing into the canopy under higher pressure and internal cell pressure is optimized because air isn't escaping (during turns, stalls, or lulls in the wind) as fast as it would if they were "normal" sized inlets.

They do look narrow. Looks just like a Reactor II leading edge to me???
Hope they have a little more graphic designs than that proto. I'm sure it's just a plain solid color for proto reasons :puzzled:

Proto's are always "plain Jane". Won't see sale designs until RTM.

That said, there's a lot to be said for large swaths of unbroken color. Very PKD Combat-ish. Looks especially cool on white out snow days, and sun/fog conditions.
