I was wondering if anyone can give me some comparisons between the ozone octane and the ozone flow. I know the flow has been discontinued, so is the
octane an upgrade to the flow design or is it in a class by itself.

I was curious about this myself and got a reply from Ozone stating that the Octane had "a bit more stability and handling" then then Flow.

The Octane is a replacement for the Flow. It is built using the same plan-form as the Flow and the aspect ratio is nearly identical. There was some
changes such as a more refined profile shape, upgraded bridle attachment points and different internal cross-bracing. The bag also received a total
overhaul and the Octane now comes with a kite stake (full R2F package).
Performance is nearly identical with the Octane having a little better upwind performance and better overall control / handling. The Octane is still
Ozone's beginner to intermediate performance kite. If you are looking for something with more performance than the Flow, you may be better with the
Ozone Method or the Yakuza GT: Ozone's highest performance race foil.
I loved the Flow for it's stability, power and control. The Octane is everything the Flow was with newer graphics, cool bag and a tad bit more
performance.
Hope this helps.
