Distance race at SOBB this year????

I was thinking it would be fun to do a distance race at Sobb this year.Maybe start at camp up to the shipwreck,back down to the river at Seaside and back to camp.
What everyone else think???

Can we have a Buggy and Board class?? You guys tend to be a bit quicker than I. This probably would be a distance record in itself for me on a board.

do the run yourself and see what your time is and then tell everyone that you are the best of the best.

shipwrek? you mean the jetty to the inlet and back :D that's a good 30 miles as a warmup ;)

Here is a few suggestions; please do not race around people at the shipwreck, turn around before then. Give everyone on the beach the right away, that way we do not cause any problems and we get to buggy another day.

Great points , we`ll have to set up a few rules before we have any race.Id like to see it be a challenge for those who want,but also fun enough for everyone to join in.`
We could let Arkay do another 20 laps after his warm up run :roll::smilegrin:

I can ride that all day! west wind park and ride. if the wind is northerly then I won't bother; too much tacking over that distance ;) The wind also changes quite a bit up and down the coast... I like the wind to be about 12 so I can fly the 11 vapor and have room on either side. I took it out this weekend in manzanita and had a great ride until the wind died. they plowed down an area of the dunes and made me a steep playground :)

11 meter vapor . Nice bro!!! The biggest I have atm is my 6.8 viper . Should I upgrade befor the trip ? Also what's the prize for last place lol

You never know what the wind will do out there. My biggest fixed bridal for a while was 6m but sunset can be lower wind (4-10ish) so a bigger kite helps. I wouldn't lay down that much just for the trip. I'm sure there'll be plenty of kites to go around. Last I checked Jim was a sponsored rider ;)

Lucky,

I have an old 9m Blade that I will bring along . You are welcome to use it. It has paid for itself a few times over so no stress about crashing etc..

Do us a favour and remind me to bring it closer to the event. Are you coming Easter weekend as well. If so, I can bring it.

The wife and I will be there may 29th (maybe 28th depending on what time I can get off work) and will be staying tell June 1st.

Prize for last place? Man there are no places at SOBB, other then parking places at Jon's!

Our parking lot on the lake sold, so it will be park where you can. But not on my drain field. LOL
