  1. Fair amount of faith that if Kent has it listed on his site, it's probably a quality bit of kit. Nice build specs on it.
  2. Other than that, it's a very elusive creature. The domain name registration for the company seems to have expired. The last mention of it, the previous generation xRotorbar1 and it's sibling the XFlexobar dates back to 2003-2005, so the company/product might have stalled and is being reintroduced. There is a gap in the WayBack Machine for the website between 2005 and 2010, and then it blipped off the radar again.
  3. The company (Vientomar) was originally based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
  4. At one time, they seemed to have a partnership with Murrays and/or Dakine.

These were the products they manufactured:

  1. xRotorbar (Gen 1) - Stainless steel kite spreader bar system with a leash rotor, a flexible hook base, a kite clip, and an elastic leash. The leash rotor allows safe and easy untwisting of the kite lines while attached to the kite leash. The flexible hook base helps to prevent the harness from moving up or sideways for a more comfortable ride. The kite clip keeps the elastic leash out of the way. Compatible with any kite control bar and harness. Several patent pending features.
    Available Sizes: 10"/25cm

  2. xRotorbar (Gen 2) - Stainless steel kite spreader bar system with a leash rotor and an elastic leash (not shown). The leash rotor allows safe and easy untwisting of the kite lines while attached to the kite leash. Compatible with any kite control bar and harness.
    Available Size: 10"/25cm

  3. xFlexobar - Stainless steel spreader bar with a flexible hook base. The flexible hook base helps to prevent the harness from moving up or sideways for a more comfortable ride. Wide range of movement allows for easier toe-side riding, riding blind, and better balance and control. Compatible with any harness.
    Available Size: 10"/25cm

The xRotorBar2 seemed to be a direct replacement for the xRotorbar1, with the primary difference being that the original also included the flexible hook base of the xFlexobar.

Prices for the xROTORBAR and the xFLEXORBAR are $199.95 and $129.95 respectively (U.S. Dollars) effective June 14, 2003 were $199.95 and $129.95 respectively (U.S. Dollars) effective June 14, 2003. The xRotorbar2 eventually dropped to $149.95. That's MSRP, so street price was probably a bit less than that.

Here are what pictures I could find for the xRotorbar2 and its siblings (outside of what Kent has posted on awindofchangeawindofchange.
