I did a search for this, but couldn't find a specific topic. If one wanted to buy an arc (new or used), which size/ model is the most
beginner-friendly?
Let's assume variable inland winds and traction (snow, LB, buggy) as a primary goal, with air / float as a nice-to-have.
Thanks.
(Incidentally, I just received my 18m Guerilla on a trade with Smeagol, but I have yet to fly it, so feel free to comment on how f*#%cked or
not-f#%*cked I am)

My vote would be a 13m Venom or 15m Synergy in appropriate winds. I learned on the original Phantom but it can offer up some difficulty at times.

Bob nailed it. 13m venom will do anything. 15m Syn, though bigger is projected close to the same size as the Venom. They Syn is super versatile and
forgiving like the Venom but with better handling performance.
Guerilla is the precursor to the Venom series. Venoms are the same kite just refined. 18m has good grunt, turns crazy slow and is more a fat kid's
kite than light wind rig. Can be a lot of fun in moderate winds. You're fine.

Bring it to dove at the AKA meet and we'll sort you out on that guerilla

Done, ew.
I'm in CA currently, but I'll be back Tuesday and will definitely fly next Friday / Sunday. At erm... Stapleton, I think. See you soon!
And thanks for the tip, all. I figured you would've said phantom 2, but I hadn't even considered a venom (not that I'm in the market yet, but I wanna
be prepared in case I go gaga over the Guerilla).
Incidentally, Feyd, what're you getting at? Does this 18m kite make me look fat? Just tell me, man
.

Nah dude, you look great.;-)

Oh, about the Phantom 2, I would recommend it as a first arc. It's not as docile as the Venom but it's really close but offers a performance range
that can grow with you.
But it's a big chunk of $$ to test the waters.

I've got a 16m venom in good condition that I'd let go for $250 if you were interested
