Could anyone explain to me the use of different Brake Bridle knots on the Scout II kite? In one video they say you can move the X-over connection
further up for getting more grunt in stronger winds... ?
Maybe someone could explain what happens in various wind conditions, using various brake bridle knots connections?

I am not familiar with that exact kite but am familiar with crossover.
I have not heard of using it to adjust flying characteristics?
If the knots you refer to are on the bottom up from your brake line up I suspect they are simple there to adjust over all brake tension and only your
brake lines go on them ?
The crossover should have no influence at neutral. It only enters into the game when you turn. Or at least that is what I used to set for ? I think I
found if it does influence at neutral then the kite gets wonky ?

I dont know much abouit the scout II other than it is the successor to the scout wich I know alot about.
Here it goes, Ive been wanting to talk about this for a while now I finally have an opportunity to:
I flew on the end knot for a long time but when I did this the scout turns slower and doesnt produce as much power and doesnt really make use of the
crossover system. When you move the knot up the flying characteristics change dramatically. As you move the knot up the speed of the kite and the turn
speed is increased and the turning radius is decreased.
I also noticed moving the knot up can help in lighter winds by creating more power.
Now for the downside which I think is quite minimal: When you move the knot up the kite does become harder to launch since the brake lines are
tighter. The problem is, the kite needs to pick up some speed right as it launches to stay in the air. To do this I launch from the side of the window
or the edge of the power zone with the kite aimed toward the center of the window.
My suggestion is to experiment with different settings to find which knot you like the most. My favorite was the second or third knot but everyone is
differnet. Make sure you get back to us with what you think.

I found the same thing with my scout 3m - the second and third knots work the best IMOP - and in lighter winds it does need a bit of a swoop to get it
going - using it on the last knot makes the kite far too slow on the highest (closest to the kite) it makes for more fun when static flying IMOP
