I've gone tandem kiting with my kids on landboards and skis. I affix tow ropes to my harness and then a standard kite bar to the tow ropes and pull
them about 10 feet behind me. Works well if they aren't too heavy or don't carve too aggressively away from you. Did it on a flying saucer sled
once but as fun and crazy as that was, because they fly along with less friction than I (I'm carving on skis, they are just sitting on a saucer) every
time I tacked to change direction they came whipping around my legs. So we just started going fast and straight and at the end of each run I turned
up wind and they let go of the tow ropes and kind of slingshoted away from me. Good times.area429 - 22-11-2012 at 05:32 PM

Zero: I was hoping tandem riding --two kites one board could be a new olympic sport. Haha
Snake: I was wondering about using an inflatable SUP but the rail is way fatter and may not dig in the water as easy. You may have the same issue with
a big and heavy wind surf board. Let us know if you try though!
B-Roc: That's a great idea. Might make a good drinking game too; Who can hang on the longest. We used to play that game with a tube and a jet ski.

I've done it sitting down on my wife's 8' inflatable SUP. With just me it was easy to go upwind but with both of us we could hold ground but not quite
go upwind. it should work much better with a larger, less floppy board.
