B-Roc - 21-8-2012 at 04:45 PM

Looked fun. Reminds me a LOT of videos another user with a very similar name on this forum used to post. Almost looks like the exact same park and kite / skate set up.

Haven't seem him post for a while though

Weird :puzzled:

:P:rolleyes:;)

Any cars ever drive by those roads and panic thinking you are going to hit them? Ever put a kite in one of those trees?

The view from the camera as you look down on the trees was cool.

Didn't John Holgate post/film a video for Spartan?

Cool stuff!

Yes guys that other Spartan is me it's just that I've forgotten the pass word and I had since then changed Internet providers so I cant ask for my pass word to be sent cause I wont get it. so I'm now Spartan1 until I get access to my old user name.
If some one on this web sight can held retrieve my original user name, much apretiated.

Yes John Holgate did make a video of me but as the post mentions it's MY First upload on You Tube with MY OWN camera

Keep em coming Spartan 1 aka Spartan! Any how any way, it's cool to see stoke in my book.
Plus, I dug how you hit the tree with your kite but it came right back off and I heard no swear words on the audio. I even rewound to make sure. Quite impressive.

This time from the other end of the park.

Interesting location!
Do you not get some ugly winds with all those trees around? I am expecting you use long lines and take advantage of the clean wind up high coming off the water? It is making me think I have to try a spot just behind our Sunset beach that has similar features on a South wind?

No unpredictable winds in this area unless its a cross shore wind
But I have the ability to see the wind coming..

How can I see the wind I hear you ask?

Well when the wind blows over water it creates turbulance, watch the tubulance and you can see whats coming.

In fact all the areas I Kite have water views, watching the water tells me in advance what wind gusts are coming my way.

So when I see a wind gust in the distance I down my kite, let it pass and go again.

The trees are no bother to me cause the 2 trees are 18m high on the water side and my Ozone Frenzy comes with standard lines of 25m, so Im all good to go.

We kiters here in Melbourne Australia have parks on the water in any direction North, South, East, West, and
becuase we live on a very very large bay and when the wind is very strong I transform into a kitesurfer with winds in any direction again.
We love our Bay.

Bellow is a map of the bay and Melbourne is positioned at the top of the horse head shaped bay.

Been to Melbourne and love it ! We compete for most livable city often !

I also fly off a bay and can see the wind. I can see it from home as well so as soon as there are whitecaps , I'm THERE !!!! :wee:
