A newbie hello

Just introducing myself, this is my first post and I'm just getting into luring. So far I love it! Got a Tensor 5.0 and have taken it out about 5 times, first time to windy(@20 mph) I knew better, but I couldn't wait. Next time not enough, guess I'm getting an understanding of the limits:) But the last couple times was perfect(@10). FUN FUN FUN!!! Used the bar and handles, got down reverse launches, understanding the powerzone and getting a good feel on controlling the kite. I'm hooked and want to get a board to do some landboarding, that was my motivation in the first place. But I just want to say this forum is great and I appreciate all the experienced people putin out videos and giving advice, this is where I have gotten most of my information to begin this great sport. Thanks to everyone and I will be spending more time on here, when there's no wind:)

Welcome to the forum. Try to make it to Wildwood in April... you can try kites and boards and find other crazy guys interested in the sport. I'll be there!

welcome to the activity and addiction.................looks like youre well on the way. There were a couple landboards up for sale on the forum. Ping Rich @ East Coast Kite Sports (ECKS) or or Dino @ DaKitez.................they both carry some tricked out boards! Dont forget a lid, knee, and ebow padz as well! Bienvindo y mucho gusto!

During touron season you would be hard pressed to find a spot to set up a kite ,let alone buggy! The beach is off limits in the summer. Back to the miserable fields of goose poop.:o

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Its amazing how fast there was suddenly so many on here from this area, COOL! I've been going out to 88th to fly myself. What about for landboarding, is there anywhere around here? I read chesapeake park, but I've never been there (is that the goose poop place Weldngod?). Honestly, I wouldn't care if I'm flyin through goose poop (I think, I don't know ant better). Workin on gettin a board from garydog, don't know the status yet though, I hope it's not gone! The wallet thing HAHA!! I see all these kites you guys have, HOLY CRAP!! I would say so! I really want to try a depower, feel the difference. All I know is, a 5.0 meter tensor will manhandle you in 20 mph winds (atleast me). It was great, made me really respect what a kite can do, glad I was alone:)

alone is bad. make sure SOMEONE knows where you are going and when to expect you back. I had an accident, and I was ALONE . I flipped my buggy practicing downloop powerslides.everyone had left the beach as it was getting late. I wanted one more run. Broke my shoulder cartilidge off the arm bone. I had to pack up about 75 lbs of gear and video stuff.,put it on a 130 lb buggy and pull it 1.5 miles to my truck .Where I had to load it all into the bed,with a broken shoulder basically. I now have a very painful and expensive shoulder. Just sayin.....
