im weighin in around 200lb and wanna use it on water... i have seen videos of guystakin the 12m out in 25+knots... is that right?
seems REALLY high, but im not really familiar witrh the depower range on the 12m (or really any of em)...
i was thinking 10m to round out the quiver, but am not thrilled with the options at the moment.... would a 12m speed 3 take me up to around 30mph???
.... safely of course
thanks in advance

never flown a 12 speed, but i bet 30mph would be a little intense, my guess is you would be walking on your toes

i would think it would feel alot like your 15syn but perhaps quite a bit less forgiving

From my one experience flying the 15m S3, the depower appears to be substantial but at 30+ you're gonna be lit on a 12m. I'm about 180 and my Pulse 2
8m is powered up at 30.

ya, that does seem high, but I've seen the videos too and read about guys talking about being out in 25knots - not all that uncommon actually. You
would probably want to run this one on foilzone too.

The speed3 12m is by far my favorite kite. For me weighing 230lbs it's best from 18mph to about 30 mph matched with the right board. For 30mph plus I
reach for my psycho4 8 m which is also an amazing kite. Never thought I would use it much on water but I've used it twice this month on the
Chesapeake.

Psch!
For me, I can only start riding my 12m S3 (regular) from about 20 knots - it's about the same as my 13m Xbow but has a LOT of depower! You know how
much I love the depower on the 21...
I reckon, for me, the effective range on the 21 is about 15 knots. Compared with MAYBE 10 knots on my LEIs...
30 knots though... what Frathouse said sounds smart. Especially for you little guys
