Dunno where u live, but Urban Poultry Keeping is becoming a trend in some places. I was quite surprised just a few hours ago to see roosters kept in a yard coop a few blocks up from me!

I def. would not want to have Roosters living besides me when I dont' have to wake-up at sunrise...then I'd have to start a new trend: Urban Fox Keeping!

My Mom and Dad live 1/2 mile from me. Not the city of course (there my niebors) And they have over 150 semi freerange laying hens. Fresh eggs when ever we want!!

Nice one Mark

We just get wabbits and Coyotes (the four legged kind...not the off road wheeled kind)

Where do you live? Some places are known for urban chicken populations. Some that come to mind are Keywest, Miami and Hawaii. Of course here in Wisconsin a wild population would probably never make it without some heat assistance!

I used to work at the Westlake/Southlake IBM facility NorthWest of Dallas. Westlake was comprised of 6 office buildings in a 3 x 2 grid, with 3 ponds running down the center. When the facility opened, the ponds were filled with fish.

Shortly after that, they realized that that wasn't the best bit of planning. At sunset, the coyotes from the surrounding area would gather at the concrete ponds with the ample fish supply. Apparently managers working late were shocked and dismayed to find themselves crashing the furry picnic while trying to get to their cars.

Apparently, the site planners never saw the 1981 movie Wolfen (spoiler alert, this is the last 6 minutes of the movie).
