It wasn't enuf to go out and try kiting anywhere and there is no frozen water yet, but it sure got me iching for a session. Its been too long! The
real snow might as well hold off for a while as i'm gonna have surgery on my knee in a couple days so no kiting for me anyway for at least another
month....

"wasn't enuf" !? Don't kid yourself , last year the first speed posting was on a heavy frost. ;-) Its all good.

No kidding. Amazing what you can ride on with a kite attached.
I'm happy to ride and leave green tracks behind me.

Agree what Feyd said. What ever can lubricate the skis is game in my book. It's just harder on the equipment, that's all. $25 dollar garage sale
specials, a thick layer of frost and let er' rip!!

First light skiff of the season is due this week and I cant wait to try my 20-year old boards in the local schoolyard! This will be my first winter
kiting season and I'm itchin' for anything, dang even some good leaf cover might work

A grassy field, an inch of snow and rock skis are a preseason dream. Just stay extremely light when edging. Who am I kidding, what edging.

Well, we just got out second snowfall of the year, definately more than last time and if i wasn't scheduled for knee surgery today, i'd go find that
grassy field, winds are supposed to be 15-20mph today....sigh...
AJsnowkiter - 17-11-2011 at 04:28 PM
No the snow can come anytime it wants. I've only seen about 5 flakes this year and last year we had snow during Halloween. Come on!

Finally got out on skis for the first time on the local wildlife management pond. It's about 300 some acres of beautiful cruising, and good for all
wind directions and easy to access. Not much snow, mostly ice, but it was awesome. My new Flysurfer Pulse2 works great in light winds. Can wait for
more snow!

We got a foot of snow here Wednesday. Not a puff of wind since and in the 60's. Now we have about 3''.
Still zero wind.
