Great for hanging laundry, desiccating flowers or mummifying a family patriarch. Not so great for buggyin'. It took 1 1/2 hours and 2 quarts of water to recoup from a 45 min session.

After a solid two session and only 2 minor OBE's, it' time for a snifter, a handful of
naproxin and siesta time...

It's been butt ugly hot around here for weeks and hour long sessions near sunset are about all one can bear. By that time of day, the winds are crap and you gotta size for the base wind and hope you ride out the gusts.
Toady, with temp under 100, who cares what the humidity is, it time to ride.

Samm showed up and broke out a 13m Frenzy to work the land board. I now see why folks sings the praises of Ozone, very nice piece, that one.
I was playin' with a 5m Beamer and Scout buggly trying out a hotwire set up I've been sorting. It works surprisingly well.

Winds were up and down from 7 to 15 mph with gusts 20+. I'm guessing afternoon convection was breaking up the surface winds. Smoothed out a bit around 5:30 to around 15 with gusts to 20. Got some good passes in and a bit of low speed cactus dodging.

With winds being schizo, Samm was having a hard time keeping the Frenzy working but when the winds steadied up, he was rocking the field. I figured he might have a tough time with the terrain but he was soaking up the gopher holes and moguls like it was cool.

All in all, a great session, great company, a long time coming and well worth the wait.

Hahaha agreed. With the heat around here, it is insane to not fly in under 100 degrees!

You were trying out that setup? You looked like you were very well used to it.

Great session. I had fun.
It was nice to meet you. Looking forward to many more great times.
