using html code

I was wondering if it is possible for me to turn html code on, on the some of my topics

I believe the HTML code toggle is set at the Admin level. There are lots of times I wish it could be turned on... specifically for showing tabular data (i.e. HTML Table, TR, TD tags)

The only reasons, I can think of why it might be off, is if it is linked to enabling JS code to be included in a post, which could be potentially dangerous or no one has has been bothered enough by it's exclusion to ask for it.

FWIW: HTML toggled on would most likely enable embedded Vimeo, which would be a good thing.

Might want to drop a U2U to PKF or Doomwheels

Note: HTML is enabled during Preview, but then the tags are stripped when the post is actually committed :sniff:

Unfortunately enabling html opens the door to a slew of troubles. In the worst case it could make the server vulnerable to abuse, but even simple mistakes by well-intentioned members could break the flow of the page layout. bb code is safer and serves our needs well.

It's possible we could add a Vimeo tag someday although a youtube tag is already installed.

A Vimeo tag would be fantastic!

I feared as much. Are we running a subset of BBCode? Some of the standard codes seems to be missing BBCode list in the FAQ.
