We had a rippin' session today on Lake Sunapee, NH. The ice was perfect after a day of rain yesterday followed by a freeze. Most of us were on speed
skates although there were a few people on skis. There were traction kites, Kitewings, ParaskiFLEX kites, DN iceboats and an interesting looking rig
that looked like a large mountainboard with ice runners and a windsurf sail.
I spent half the day on a 12m ParaskiFLEX and when the wind picked up in the afternoon, I got out the Kitewing. Perfect conditions for the Kitewing.
If any one reading this is within shouting distance to Southern NH, you are more than welcome to join us. We also have plenty of demo kites and
Kitewings to try out. We have clean ice right now, but a light snow is expected tonight. That shouldn't effect the ice much for the skaters.Scoopy - 1-1-2006 at 10:14 AM
you going to kitestorm?? Im thinking really serious about attending.
Yep...We are also doing a two day demo sort of thing on Lake Sunapee the weekend before. Flexifoil will be here with a bunch of kites and some pro
riders. The week before that, I'll be competing in the World Snow and Ice Sailing Championships in Three Rivers, Quebec.
This is sponsored by WISSA. The WISSA president is a good friend of mine. If anyone is interested in attending either for the whole week or just the
weekend, info can be found on the WISSA web site. http://wissa.org/
