Drewculous - 26-4-2011 at 10:17 AM

When do i need to mail my buggy by?

Best shipper, or should i try to carry-on, i think we're flying delta or united not sure atm...

This is Bobby's old biggie, so im not sure what would be best here...

many thanks in advance!

How heavy is the buggy? Can you dissamble it and stick it in a duffle bag? I took my buggy to California once, and that was rough. The bag was heavy as hell, and I had to pay a bunch extra because of its weight and size. Might be cheaper to ship it. Use UPS Ground, and it'll probably take a week. Hope that helps...

UPS is good for shipping large items. Flying with gear can be sketchy sometimes. They took silvereagles hubs after NABX

im sure there will be many folks that would let you ride their buggies at jibe or anywhere else for that matter......save you the headache of shipping........

fedex .... hardest part is finding a box to fit the axle

mougl - 26-4-2011 at 02:31 PM

Better yet, kidnap Dino and make him bring it along with his apexx so I can kidnap his buggy!

Find a place that sells carpeting. You can generally get the heavy cardboard tubes for free. Cap the ends and you're good to go.

I just bubble wrap my axle and then saran wrap them real good. Made there safe and sound to WBB. Cost for TWO 5 foot axles to New Jersey from Texas was $40. I also shipped TWO sets of rails with tires, kites, harness, etc weighing about 100 lb in a huge box for another $90. Much better than bringing on the plane and paying $200 oversize charges. I used UPS ground. It got there in 3 days.

Use my commercial shipping address

Coastal Wind Sports

Brunswick, GA 31523

912 289 2789

It is a rented address at Exit 29 Postal and More, 1 mile or less from I-95. John There will take good care and help you get it home. Hours there are M-F 8a-6p, Sat 10a-4p, closed Sundays

BeamerBob - 28-4-2011 at 09:11 PM

Don't ship tires and use some rentals of Angus's. Get a bike box from Walmart and I bet most all of it will fit in there. Your buggy will be a nice lowrider with the barrows on it.

BeamerBob - 16-5-2011 at 11:24 PM

She is back home! That's the first beach sand that buggy ever saw. As a matter of fact, its the last as well, since it didn't get beach time here in California. Last beach ride was a farewell visit to see Angus before we moved West. As I think back, its first ride was on Jekyll Island since I picked it up partially assembled at Angus' "kite lair" and drove straight over to an HQ demo day at the beach. Gotta get a pic with it sitting beside Pokite's ride as well as tridudes bigfoot. No of course I'm not sentimental! :duh::duh::bigok:

Drewculous - 17-5-2011 at 07:46 AM

Ill treat her well lol, at least one of us knows this beach, she can show me the way!
