I realize most are tired of these type of questions but I have very limited resources.
I'm starting to shop around for a harness that I'll be using this summer on the water. The only harness I own is an Ozone access and I'm not sure if
this would be ok to start out with. The only reservations I have about the Ozone is that I have to almost bottom out the adjustment straps to keep it
snug in the summer time. (less clothes). I was looking specifically at the Mystic Warriors and Dakine brands of waist harnesses. I've never tried a
waist harness before, so all I know is from what I've read and seen on the internet. I'm extremely tall and have a 34 inch waist.
I think the only kite shop in our state is three hours away, so trying on different makes and models is very inconvenient.
I've heard so many positive things about the Mystic warriors, so I'm inclined to maybe take a chance.
Watcha think?

Hey
I have a Mystic Firestarter in medium and a 30 to 32 inch waist. On the harness it says 32 to 34 inch waist but it's pretty tight. It's fine with
shorts and a t-shirt but very tight with a wet suit. I would say go with a large as they fit a little tight.
They are expensive but they stay put pretty good. The only problem I've had is the bypass leash attachment (sort of a rubber hose over a rope) has
come apart. That's after two years though.
Personally I like the harness and will probably buy the new model Mystic with the adjustable back support if it gets good reviews.
I also have a Dakine seat harness. I won't say much as I've never tried the waist harnesses but I have a large and there is a lot of room for larger
waist sizes and it fits me well.
Hope that helps.

I wouldn't use the Access in the water ...
Ocean Rodeo Session is a good compromise - it's a "hybrid" waist/seat harness ... means you can take the leg straps off. Too small for me at the
moment though
My regular harness is Dakine Fusion (seat) but when I use the Access, it feels more pull from the legs to me than the Fusion. I'm betting the Session
with leg straps will feel very familiar to you ...
Warriors are a good harness, nothing but rave reviews about them. New Dakine Pyro looks hawt too :D

Thanks for the responses.
Any online shops in the states that carry Mystic harnesses?

After the local reprobates (Ripsession, CWS, AWOC, Dakitez etc) try www.kite-line.com ... they've been good to me
think they've got a sale on
too

Mystic, dakine, and prolimit are ace. Can't go wrong with them. Prolimit fits larger so it's better to go one size down with them

From what I've heard mystics stay put a bit better. My Dakine tabu rides up a bit (but I mostly kite w/ a sweatshirt on). If you're comfortable
going in a waist harness, I'd do that. They're fine unless you're looking into doing hooked in rotations.

So a waist harness it is. No hooked in rotations here, just simply want to get up and ride.
