I am traveling to Las Vegas, March 21-24 2006 and was hoping to get in some kiteboarding.
I have a buggy on the way, landboards and water boards.
Where should I go, what should I bring and is there a shop in or around Las Vegas to rent equipment from rather than bringing mine?
Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

I would wait a week and go to nabx, it is someplace to be.I mist this year but will show 2006 for sure. And take your gear,I don't know about renting
but I know that Las Vegas have a store called WindPowerSports and if you want to buy something hot nabx is place and time.

Hey Turtle,
Lake Mead is in a canyon.
That's why they put the dam there.
Lousy gusty winds most of the time.
No shallows to speak of.
Very few beaches.
They're usually covered with campers, tents, kids, dogs, jet-skis, boats, innertubes, picnics, and stuff.
Basically, no entry-level friendly spots, so no shops in Vegas.
If you have intermediate to advanced skills, there are spots on Lake Mojave.
Depends on the weather.
This isn't the best time of the year.
Oh... And the water is real cold.
If there is no rain, the dry lakes are among the supreme buggy spots on the planet.
Safen Up! Buggy On!

Turtle,
If you are up for about an hour and a half drive from Las vegas you can come up by where I live. Its called Hurricane, UT (I will let you speculate
why) There is a lake here called sand hollow. It has good beaches to launch from and lots of shallows. The water is warm and the wind is usually 15-25
MPH. Temps for this part of the year are 90-100+ with lots of sun. Sand hollw also has a huge sand dune area that you could take your land board out
on. Look it up.

Hey sobrino, there are a few of us in StGeorge as well that go to mohave for kiteboarding. The wind is awfully gusty at sand hollow for good kite
boarding.
