Drew, what were the winds? You were really working that thing.Drewculous - 24-3-2011 at 08:14 PM
choppy and varying to say the least.... in the light spots 20mph ish.... bout :49 into it, when the kite triples in speed, lol, about 35mph.... spring
in nebraska is tough kiting! Between goalposts, and gusts... its interesting
the winds were gusty, choppy, and changed up to 60 degrees on me that evening lol... some were out of the south, some almost completely from the east,
my fast runs were winds out of the south east, me cutting south west across the field....
i found a gps spedo app on my phone, so i tried it out on monday... i officially hit 20mph lol!! 45 more to go and i can take a stab at the 100km
club
:funny side note, the night this video was shot... the local news was covering a nearby soccer match, and you could see my kite doing its thing in the
background on the evening news lol!!John Holgate - 24-3-2011 at 09:23 PM
Darn nice easy to get along with and stable kite. If I was only allowed one kite, that would probably be it. I could use it in more conditions than
nearly any other kite. Had a run with the III down at Sandy Point recently (see Labour Day vid) and had it side by side with my II as well - didn't
think there was too much between the II & III - I'd be happy with either. snowspider - 25-3-2011 at 06:50 AM
I've trained kids on them one day and flown them in horrendous banging conditions the next day , I really like these kites.
