Good Trader List

 Pages:  1    3  ..  13

B-Roc - 1-27-2007 at 11:23 AM

On one of the other forums I frequent they keep a good and a bad trader thread going to help identify those sellers who are good to deal with and those sellers you want to avoid.

Buying kites over the internet from strangers can be a risky venture but its a great way to get a great bargain if you have a trustworthy seller.

I want to post here that I recently bought a Mac Bego 400 from DaVinch (Joe). He was a great seller to work with and talk to.

All items arrived on time and in the exact condition specified and the packaging job was excellent - leaving pretty much no risk of damage in transit.

DaVinch (Joe) was fair to deal with and obviously an enthusiastic kiter.

I would recommend him as someone who is good to do busniess with and safe to buy from.

Bladerunner - 1-27-2007 at 12:12 PM

I am not sure if Pablo is still selling PKD or any kites anymore?

SecondWind - 1-27-2007 at 12:32 PM

Thanks B-Roc - it was pleasure doing business with you also!

Joe "DaVinch" Vinch

wjb - 1-27-2007 at 01:54 PM

I'll recommend leebrianh. I bought my first kite from him and he has been a great source of information and camaraderie since. Wade

kitemaker4 - 1-27-2007 at 05:33 PM

I recommend Pablo too. I bought all of my PKD Broozas from him.

PKD Brooza 2, 3, 4 and 5.5 meter
Libre V-max and Special buggy
Nasa wings in many sizes

leebrianh - 1-27-2007 at 06:08 PM

Thanks for your nice word, Wade. I recommend Glenn (bugymangp). He said he treats people the way he wants to be treated and I was treated very nice. Also, Sam (Scoopy). I bought many kites from him and will buy from him again. - Brian

Kiteboarder2B - 2-8-2007 at 12:48 PM

I recently bought a kiteing skimbat 4.8 off of Saskalex and he was very pleasurable. Good deal along with accurate and fast shipping. Product exactly as advertised and he was even patient and considerate enough to sign and email a prommisory note signed before a notary. Top notch guy. Thanks alex

kitemaker4 - 2-8-2007 at 01:05 PM

I would not hesitate to buy anything from leebrianh again. He kept me updated through-out the whole process.

2, 3, 4 and 5.5 meter PKD Broozas

V-max and big foot light V-max Libre buggys

Nasa wings

Libre Special for sale

SecondWind - 2-8-2007 at 01:19 PM

Kiteboarder - let us know how it goes with the Skimbat

Kiteboarder2B - 2-8-2007 at 01:29 PM

I sure will Davinch. Super stoked to get it out. I tried yesterday but it wasn't windy enough. Got to practice handling the wing though. Friday is looking good:evil:

tridude - 2-8-2007 at 08:49 PM

Bump on Da V as an awesome seller! Also, realhonety1 was great to work with and got my Begos for a great price. Kites were as advertised, new, and crispy! as usual................

SecondWind - 2-8-2007 at 09:18 PM

Thanks Tridude! However, I am a bit jealous that you get to fly every day man, what a life.

I should also mention ogsurf - he sold me his old buggy that he had sitting around the house last year. I was a little surprised to see that is was still brand new in the box!

Great deal...

tridude - 2-9-2007 at 06:37 AM

Da V,

Thanx for the props. Maybe 4 to 5 times a week but remember I am retired (semi). OBTW some F 15 dimensions for you. Respect to you for flying what essentially could be classified as a paraglider!

SecondWind - 2-9-2007 at 07:30 PM

Got one more for the list: divadrois

Very good guy to deal with :thumbup:

I think we have him hooked on the sport now - he's already looking for another kite!

hook, line, and sinker

divadrois - 2-10-2007 at 03:58 PM

I have a bego 600 on the way.
althought the wind will take some time to return, and the rain to stop (new purchase), i'm very excited about this kite.

tridude - 2-10-2007 at 04:17 PM

Nice purchase. Was it from yesterdays ebay auction? as usual.................................stoaked!

divadrois - 2-10-2007 at 07:09 PM

so sexy. I can't wait to get my new kite in the air!

SecondWind - 2-10-2007 at 07:22 PM

Way to go Dave - you are going to love the Bego 600! Plus, you got it for an awesome price...

You'll need to make up some power rings for it. It's very easy - we'll give you the scoop.

tridude - 2-11-2007 at 09:44 PM

Ill send a pic of my 600's power rings Monday! Da V installed Ronstan Pulleys, very ciche and functional! Your gonna love the Bego! It pulls like a train and will lift you very quickly...........but FLOATY landings as long as you redirect her in the window! Kite killers and helment required! as usual.........................stoaked:thumbup:;)

divadrois - 2-14-2007 at 10:24 AM

Bego is on the way, hopefully.
Also, I may have found a shop to get all my misc. items (pulleys, line, handles, etc). Can't wait to get it flying.

also, may take a trip down to San Francisco this weekend and get my blade into some clean wind (conditions permitting).

My luck is hit and miss here in South Lake Tahoe, CA (Too many Trees!), but there are a couple good spots i've found.

Yesterday we had 3-5mph and my Bego would have been up flying had it been in my possession.

Da V, Tridude, B-rock: thanks for your help guys. I feel like I know a little about power kiting since ya'll have spilled your knowledge my way.

happy flying!

tridude - 2-15-2007 at 07:06 AM

Your welcome--alot of what I know is what I learned with Da V! He is def the man, and so he sleeps better at night, I ordered ronstan pulleys for my 200 and 400 Begos. Actually, they are very functional, and look good as well! Your gonna love that Bego from realhonesty1. He has def earned his spot on the good trader list! as usual.............................................stoaked!!:yes:

archkiter - 2-18-2007 at 02:46 PM

add Sparxs111 and Sunset-Jim to the good traders list

Sold the Sabre to Sparx and bought a buggy from Jim- both excellent people to deal with.

SecondWind - 3-9-2007 at 12:05 PM

Got two more guys for the list:

Gronniger - for a buggy deal

Powerzone - for a Flysurfer deal

Both were great to work with

primekutzz - 5-25-2007 at 02:12 PM

I've got to add wjb to the list of great sellers. He was a pleasure to deal with. Easy to get a hold of. Definitely can trust him.

I bought his MBS blade, paid through paypal and he shipped it out the same day. Great transaction. Thanks Wade.

crosshatch - 6-27-2007 at 06:54 PM

Pablo was excellent to trade with. Honest, really friendly and provided tracking#/communication throughout. Will trade/buy again, without hesitation. :tumble::thumbup:

Taper123 - 7-17-2007 at 04:40 AM

I've picked up a few things from people on here lately, and all have been easy and pleasant to deal with.

Dman described his item perfectly, and was quick to ship. :singing:

WJB was easy to deal with, and kite was in "like new" shape as desribed :singing:

Awindofchange (Kent) Was a pleasure to deal with and recommended :singing:

acampbell (Angus at Coastal Wind Sports) is another that I would recommend :singing:

Those are the ones that I've done business with from here on the forum recently. All of them were people that I would gladly buy from again.

Dagon - 7-18-2007 at 12:21 AM

Jon Ellis at Kite Buggy speed shop has been great to deal with. he gives you all the info you need to know, and then some.

domdino - 7-19-2007 at 10:46 AM

He doesn't really need anyone else to give him a shout, but Davinch is a fantastic seller :tumble:

SecondWind - 7-19-2007 at 02:53 PM

Thanks Dom - it was a pleasure doing business with you also.

Now go fly that kite!

SecondWind - 7-19-2007 at 07:56 PM

I would like to add Ashe to the Good Trader list.

I just completed a perfect transaction with him - thanks Ashe :thumbup:

stephdip - 8-7-2007 at 10:04 AM

a excelent persone to deal with verry good comunication and kite is just as advertised.

thanks again for the great deal and sevice
looking forward to deal with you again...

flyhigh142 - 8-30-2007 at 12:18 PM

I had ordered two kites from Pablo, and after the order, I called to ask the expected ETA. When it was apparent they wouldn't get to me before my vacation, he graciously offerred to expedite the shipping without charge. I told him no big deal, I'll just make do with what I have and enjoy them when I get back. I was thrilled to see them arrive today in time for vacation! Great job, Pablo!

BeamerBob - 8-30-2007 at 04:09 PM

I thought I had already posted here but apparently not. I have only dealt with Angus (Acampbell) of coastal wind sports. My Grandad always told me to do what you love and you will be successful at it. This is Angus top to bottom. He has gone above and beyond in education, delivery, warranty, and personally as well. He doesn't take care of you because it is good business, he does good business because he takes care of you.:singing::yes:

tridude - 9-10-2007 at 01:06 PM

Angus@coastalwindsports-- gave me a great deal on a Blade IV 6.5!

Beamerbob-- bought my 5m Crossfire!

Great day Saturday and look forward to flying with you both very soon! Fly hard Fly safe!

SecondWind - 9-10-2007 at 01:21 PM

Just would like to add:

All great guys to work with - This is a top notch kite community!

BeamerBob - 9-10-2007 at 02:04 PM

Tridude beat me to it. He was very comforting to deal with on his Crossfire 5. He was much more concerned with me getting a safe, high quality kite rather than what he got out of the deal. He was proud of the care he had given the kite and wanted to make sure I was getting what I had hoped for/expected. If you were to buy something from him, rest assured it is at least as good as he says it is.

SecondWind - 9-10-2007 at 07:23 PM

Yeah..that Tridude is a pretty cool guy. However, I still think he crashed my demo Ace into his van on purpose

BeamerBob - 9-11-2007 at 09:59 AM

I saw him flying on Saturday and he didn't "look" like someone who would accidentally crash a kite into a car. Hmmmm. Now that I think about it, he did have blood oozing out of both knees when he left. No whining about it though. You have to admit it really made the video more interesting.

JeepCachr - 10-1-2007 at 11:48 AM

Great communication, kite was exactly as described.

Ashe - 10-11-2007 at 12:04 PM

Kind of overdue, but wanted to add jrw32, dufobik, and AirHog to the list. All three sales were quick and easy thanks to their communication and responsiveness. Thanks guys!

krumly - 11-2-2007 at 03:08 PM

Got to give props to Pablo. I bought a Viokite Proteus from him off Ebay before I really was into this forum, and since then he's supplied me with 2, 3, and 4m Broozas in mint condition.

I appreciate how much knowledge he shares and the low profile he keeps as a PKD rep. BTW, this is something I appreciate about the other reps who are mainstays of this forum.

canuck - 11-14-2007 at 10:22 PM

I've had 2 great transactions on this forum and highly recommend both sellers
- an HQ seat harness from DaVinch and
- a Quadrifoil Flysurfer XXXL from bbrex

They both know their way around the equipment and have lots of experience to share.

macboy - 11-29-2007 at 12:01 AM

No issues on my end dealing with Blake, Pablo or Powerzone. All items VERY reasonably priced and arrived quick and in great shape!

Blake - Pansh Ace 7m Well packed and unpacked with NO TANGLES!!! (It was packed better than my kites....)

Pablo - Brooza II 7.5 Well packed and got here FAST! (No tangles either BTW)

Powerzone - Lineset Great value and fast shipping from the US

Deadhead - 12-7-2007 at 03:54 PM

My dealings with both Pablo and Bloah have been smooth and easy. Bloah even threw in a bit of unexpected lagniappe........ Both great to work with. And of course, my thanks and great appreciation to Angus.

1oldkid - 12-14-2007 at 07:19 PM

Man, am I overdue here! (Where's the smiley icon with the blushing red face?)

I bought my first Profoil 4.5 direct from Tedsfoils back when he was clearing out inventory in Nov of 06. The transaction was straightforward and swift. Thanks Ted!

I ordered a lineset for the 4.5 Profoil from Kiteplace.com, and it came right away along with a cd of some buggy fun that Don had made. Thanks Don!

My second Profoil 2.5 came from Coastal Wind Sports in Dec of 06. Again, the transaction was simple and fast. Thanks Angus!

All emails were clear and timely.

Ted, Don, Angus, my apologies for not putting you name here sooner!

My latest kite acquisition is from Powerzone. Great sale and fast shipping! Emails were good; I got the information I was asking for.

Thank you guys!

BeamerBob - 12-19-2007 at 12:08 PM

I wanted to add dlish89 to the list. Very quick ship. He couldn't have been any nicer to deal with. The kite was brand new just like it was supposed to be. He was even apologetic for the postal service being slow the week before Christmas. He was checking the tracking info and talking to me about it. If you are looking for an easier transaction than you can get from Pansh, he is your man. :singing::thumbup:

DAKITEZ - 12-19-2007 at 11:06 PM

Thanks Beamerbob and the same goes for you. Absolute pleasure of a person to deal with. I hope you enjoy the ace.

GulfSandEater - 12-20-2007 at 01:20 PM

I'll add Barnes to the good trader list. Picked up a 4.5m Pansh Legend from him recently and the transaction was smooooooth. Quick shipment. Flexible to accomodate my schedule and payment format.

Thanks for your willingness to discuss the transaction by phone, Barnes, and again...thanks for the sale!

barnes - 12-20-2007 at 01:40 PM

Bladerunner - 2-22-2008 at 02:22 PM

Thanks to you as well Tridude. Always nice to work with someone who isn't afraid of the boarder issues.

Tridude made sure everything was flowing smoothly right from the start. GREAT TRADER

Yes, Thumbs up to Blake

Great deal on a sweet little kite ! Prompt and easy purchase !

Bladerunner - 2-25-2008 at 05:02 PM

Nothing but good things to say about Dirtslide. He keeps his gear in great shape and is a pleasure to deal with.

Probably the best deal I have made was with this seller

That big Ol' Blade is just the ticket on super low wind days !

beachrights - 2-29-2008 at 05:32 PM

I just completed a deal with Tridude and as the above posts say- smooth as silk!

Special thanks goes to Beamer Bob who handled the shipping since he had the kite on loan from tridude.

There are few places you can go and trust people these days to trade hundreds of dollars worth of kites [or anything] with people who you just know from a forum!

Nice doing business

tridude - 2-29-2008 at 07:11 PM

Beachrights is one serious PTPer (prime time player). Awesome deal and kite! Thanx Paul!

silvereaglekiter - 3-8-2008 at 03:37 PM

crewl1:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Defiantly a good trader. Thanks Larry the kite jest arrived. Its in grate shape. I'd be flying right now if not fore the 25-30+mph wends

Customer service

Sthrasher38 - 3-12-2008 at 04:13 PM

I have to thank dlish89 for excellent customer service! I got a 3m Blaze from him awhile back and I broke a bridle line on the kite. Later I tell him about it. He said oh hell no that kite is brand new We gotta fix that! He said he did not want me to be out a kite. So he promptly sent off for some bridle lines. Well I dont even think it has been a week and he called me today and said lets meet up I got your bridle line. I said cool ok. We meet up he had a layout of all the bridle lines on that kite. He found the one I needed and even helped put it on and made sure it was all good and that I was happy before he left. I just wanted people to know that that was cool. Dlish89! Can't go wrong there. It was like a mobile service! Instead of just shipping it he drove 45min and helped make it right. All good in my book! Thanks dlish!:borg:

DAKITEZ - 3-12-2008 at 07:12 PM

Anytime !!! I'm just glad to get that kite flying again. It was flying good too even with no wind.

barnes - 3-12-2008 at 07:18 PM

My friends Ace bridals are fraying, how tough is it to replace the bridals?

Sthrasher38 - 3-12-2008 at 07:23 PM

It's a snap! Dlish and I fixed mine in about 5 min. (oops) it's a snap.

USA_Eli_A - 3-15-2008 at 03:31 PM

yup, that's two thumbs up!

WTrail - 3-16-2008 at 10:02 PM

"stevep" nice to deal with on the phone. Easy transaction!

sojourner - 3-22-2008 at 04:10 PM

bigkahuna - F-One Shadow

Couldn't have been easier. Uber fast shipping! Had the kite in time to rip some strong winds and powder on the weekend. Highly recommended.

Crash - 3-22-2008 at 10:41 PM

Same here ,BigKahuna was very helpfull and speedy at getting me my kite,Payed for shipping and even went out his way to throw something extra in the deal......Highly recomended doing deals with and cool to talk with ,lots of kitesurf exp............good wishes on his new House !

bigkahuna - 3-23-2008 at 01:06 AM

Thanks Terry and sojourner for the kind words. I'm glad everything worked out and that you got your kites. You were both a pleasure to do business with, hope our paths cross again in the future. We're all moved in to our new house which is (exactly) 5 minutes from the beach but is soooo much nicer than living in a condo (which we've been doing for the last 10 years). Now I have a workshop and room to build all those projects I've been wanting to build (eg. a SUP surfboard, a couple kite-boards, probably a buggy, and who knows what...). Good winds and great sessions to both of you!

dman - 3-29-2008 at 03:06 PM

Thanks Dlish89 for my new NPW, bought off ebay but found out it was him later. Fast shipping and a great deal.

I'll hit you direct next time I need a new kite!;-)

DAKITEZ - 3-29-2008 at 05:18 PM

Thanks for the  .. Deals are definately better when I don't have to pay ebay . See ya on the playa in a few days.

Lobo - 3-29-2008 at 07:07 PM

I've mentioned it in another post, but need to put it here:

dlish89 has been a great person to deal with in all ways! I've gotten my first 2 kites through him...the NPW5 4.8m and the Beamer III 3m. He was very helpful to talk with and is straight forward and honest. He will take good care of you. Don't hesitate to use his services!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Lobo :singing:

DAKITEZ - 3-29-2008 at 07:45 PM

Thanks Lobo I look forward to flying with you someday.

SCREWYFITS - 3-29-2008 at 11:24 PM

Don't believe anyone... Dlish is a no good drug dealer.
He gets you hooked on this drug called "kiting" then tells you he has no more in the size you want...
"COME ON MAN... I NEED ANOTHER FIX....." :tumble:

All Joking aside "Dlish is the bomb" he met me and let me fly before I bought (just like a darn dealer HeeHee) Extremely nice guy and fully trustworthy, defiantly wants you to get what your lookn for. I'd go as far as to say he's "Genuine"...

All the Thanx, Screwy

BeamerBob - 3-31-2008 at 02:29 AM

Just wanted to give Sodfarmkiter some kudos. It was exactly as pictured and described. He spent some time getting it packed and threw in a video for good measure. He even let me do paypal when I was having trouble finding time to get a money order.

dman - 4-3-2008 at 07:52 PM

Thanks Taper123!

Just got a Pro Foil 3.5 from him for a buddy I got into kiting recently and it's in Great Shape.

Good Deal!

DAKITEZ - 4-7-2008 at 07:21 PM

I just want to be sure to extend my ultimate thanks to Jon from kite buggy speed shop. He is a great person and went way above and beyond with helping me with my buggy. I also got a set of his pulley handles and I can't wait to give them a try. Thanks again Jon. So add Jon (Jellis) to your good trader list for sure. He will take good care of you.

thumper66067 - 4-19-2008 at 08:05 PM

Dlish89 is looking like a very well liked person on here, and it is for good reason. Very friendly, and does everything in his power for helping you out. THANKS FOR THE BEAMER and line set. Look forward to deal with you again on my next kite, because I know there will probably be a next. :thumbup:

Sthrasher38 - 4-22-2008 at 03:32 PM

You got it bro? When we going to try it out?

Kiteboarder2B - 5-3-2008 at 08:25 PM

Two thumbs up for Bladerunner. He shipped the kite very fast and it's in GREAT condition. The kitebag is so clean I know it's only a matter of one trip in my playa dust laden car before that's over. Smooth transaction!

Bladerunner - 5-3-2008 at 08:33 PM

The P3 arrived from Tridude today in A++ order AS USUAL !!!

Got the big baby out today and it is amazing !!! A lot more range than I imagined . Nice and floaty when it lifts you :tumble: I know now what they mean by pull in the bar and up you go :cool2: I was holding it down without much issue up to 20kts. :)

Beautifull kite and another smooth purchase !

Also prop's to Tedsfoils :thumbup: They don't usually ship to Canada but made an acception for me even though there has been trouble with paper work they are still making it happen ! They are going to a lot of trouble for what can't be much profit :cool2:

DAKITEZ - 5-4-2008 at 07:02 AM

Just wanted to put dman on the list again. We had another perfectly flawless transaction. Fly safe dman !!
